Karenia charged straight at Isaac but in less than two seconds, she found herself faced directly by one of Isaac’s energy beams.

Kiro activated his force field zone, but instead of leaving his force field spheres to wander around, he embedded them within Victor’s fireballs. This made his spheres acts as a core for Victor’s fireballs, giving it a lot more weight. As this new combined skill hit Isaac’s beam, they cancel out each other.

Karenia went straight at Isaac, with Kiro and Victor’s combined move warding his beams off. Kiro also had to focus on giving Karenia some shield cover in the event that the other two members pose a fatal threat. Isaac’s teammate; Henry, materialized a sword out of thin air. In one swooping motion, he swung at Karenia, aiming to cut her in half, but she skilfully manoeuvred mid-air. The witch was yet to make her move.

“It would seem you are a resourceful bunch. All the talk about you wasn’t just talk after all. And all the more reason why I need to cut you down, Kiro Ner. You are a threat to my throne,” Isaac said. He was just warming up. If they thought his energy beams were large, they were in for an even bigger surprise. Isaac charged beams that were at least three times their previous size. Kiro and Victor were aware that it would take more than their combined skill to match them. And they needed to do more than just match them.

“We have to be careful. That sword just now will cut through my shield like thin air. My types are weak to his. We have to be careful of him,” Kiro whispered to them.

“What member of the Eight does he originate from?” Victor asked.

“Dum Dum,” Kiro replied trying to keep a straight face. His name might sound hilarious, but his types were a pain to deal with. Especially with Kiro being weak to his ability.

“Are you for real now man? Karenia chuckled. “Damn, his intelligence must be way down the chart,” she goaded.

“And again, I’ll tell you that intelligence---” Kiro was cut off by a beam from Isaac which they all had to evade. He felt insulted that they were so relaxed in his presence. Even with him getting fired up.

“You have guts. I stand before you and you have time for idle chat. How insulting,” Isaac was clearly irritated.

“Karenia, you go for the swordsman, Victor, go for the witch. I’ll go after Isaac,” Kiro instructed.

“Your shields won’t last a second against those. It’s suicide,” Victor said.

“Leave it to me. I’ll work something out,” Kiro reassured them.

In an instant, they all charged at their designated opponents. Isaac grinned at the new development. “You think you can take me on alone? What insolence! I shall show you your place, you---” Isaac challenged Kiro but Kiro was short on patience.

“Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard you. Can we get on with it already,” Kiro said apathetically.

With his force field zone still active, Kiro merged his spheres together, making them denser. With the aid of his zone and the kaleidoscopic Prism, Kiro ricocheted Isaac beams towards him, forcing him to defend against his own beams. “This is a cowardly tactics,” Isaac proclaimed. He could no longer deal with the ricocheting beams and was fully focused on making sure they don’t hit him. He may have produced them but he was definitely not immune to their effects.

“And I have loads of cowardly tactics where that came from,” Kiro teased. “Estrange,” He proclaimed.

Kaleidoscopic Prism has been locked on towards the target

The Kaleidoscopic Prism shrunk to trap Isaac. It large enough that he could stretch his hands and legs but so small that he couldn’t do more than that. “You coward! Why don’t you face me!” Isaac was enraged.

“Face you? You’re more of a coward than you give yourself credit. You only showed up when your sneak attack failed. You are lucky I can’t shrink that cage any smaller than that. You can try to blast your way out, but you’d have to deal with your own beams first. By then you’d be nothing but crisp. Sit tight, you’ll be out in no time,” Kiro goaded. Isaac howled furiously. More than ever, he wanted to blast Kiro to bits. But there was nothing he could do in his current situation.

Isaac’s team mates weren’t having such a good time either. The witch was fully on the defence from Victor’s attacks and Karenia had Henry on run. Kiro went after the witch to secure first. As she noticed Kiro coming her way, she cast an invisibility spell.

“Karenia, switch!” Kiro cried. With her beast senses, hiding wouldn’t do much good. But her frenzy mode would wear of soon so they needed to end the battle very quickly. Kiro hurled force field spheres at Henry, who incessantly cut through them. He noticed that Victor was charging a dense fire ball above him. Clearly, they were trying to lure him that way. All he needed to do was avoid it. It was big and hot so he could always tell its position. Kiro came at him from the front and Victor sent his fireball rom above. Henry was so occupied with them both that he forgot about Karenia. She appeared behind him and punched him towards the fireball. He blocked her punch, but the impact sent him flying towards his impending doom. He was caught in the fire ball. As he burned, Karenia walked towards him with the head of the witch in her hand and threw it into the fire as well. Victor frown at her savagery, but said nothing of it. Kiro didn’t even bat an eyelid. How could those two be so brutal, he thought.

Karenia had used up her frenzy mode and Kiro’s cage was down. Isaac was now free and more furious than ever. He cursed bitterly but the words he muttered were unclear, except for ‘I’ll kill you’.
