Karenia went for the kill as the ever-presence regenerated. It was defenseless. Victor and Jovak saw this as an opportunity to be useful as well. Karenia may not have enough power to take it out in one blow. But the three of them together could. And it wouldn’t matter that it could copy their abilities if it was already dead. Karenia didn’t object. She needed as much power as she could get. But a crowd would only turn out to be a nuisance. Those two were enough. Theodore picked them up to follow Karenia. Mings wanted to tag along but Karenia dissuaded him from doing so. As they were, they couldn’t keep up with Karenia’s speed.
