Anna's POV

I just have to do this for the sake of my family's background, but first I would have to let them know about it before I sign the contract, and I am not even sure if they knew what happened to me. I hope they will believe me because they always doubt things. Every second I looked at the contract of marriage documents and dropped it. I don't really know what decision to make. I then had to go home to tell them everything. Few minutes later when I arrived at my residence I knocked but to see the door was already open I entered the room and saw Miriam and Sandra crying, but I didn't know the reason they were crying.

“Miriam Sandra, why are you crying?” I immediately called out their names. They all looked at me and to read their faces one would know that they were surprised to see me and were unhappy.

“We had been looking for you since yesterday, thinking you were kidnapped or something bad happened to you. We looked for all the traces for you but all to know where you were, so where have you been?” Sandra said.

“I was almost knocked down by a truck due to the shock I fainted, and I also have something more important to tell you guys but before that, I would love mom to be present here”

“she is inside her room crying endlessly about you, I think she doesn't even know you are here” Miriam said

I went inside her room to check on her to see how she was feeling and tell her about the contract and know her decision on it. I went inside and saw her sobbing silently. “ Mom, why are you crying? ” she turned to my direction as she heard my voice calling.

“ Anna, I have been looking everywhere for you. What really happened to you, were you hurt in any way?”

“ As I made haste to come back home knowing you would have been waiting for me to get back and supply the food to you a truck which failed it break came towards me, I dived to a corner but unfortunately, I fitted my head on the bars there and fainted I was helped by a friend who took me to the hospital and gave me treatments”“ My dear, I am truly sorry if I was the cause of the accident. I was hungry and had to ask you to go get some food, my mother said.

“I am deeply sorry now I am here mom” I handed over to her a plastic bag which contained some food.

“Mom there is something really more important I need to tell you all '' I saw her here in agreement to what I have to say. I showed them the marriage contract first.

“ what Is this for” mother asked,

“Well the white document is a contract that contains one hundred thousand dollars. It was a contract given to me by a contract wife. I came to let you all know before I make my final decision.

“One hundred thousand dollars," you said," then you have to accept it. Do not hesitate to do so. You know how poor we are. Please accept the contract. Okay, my heart would be glad if you do so.

“ So you really want to sell me out because of money,” I said with a sad face, but my intention was that how would they feel without me staying with them?

Then when my family has accepted for me to be with a man through contract marriage there is no choice than for me to just accept it, but I don't know how I would tell Robert face to face that I accept without him loving me. I don't want this contract marriage to be anyone's mistake, so I decided to ask him first about the reason he wouldn't go for a normal marriage it would be better than a contract marriage, but to me, it has always been my dream come true to be happily married to a handsome and a rich man would take care of me love me and cherish me the most. Not all men are the same, but I would know the character of i wax going to lie with and the way of his life, most importantly how would he treat me while staying with him, I know that I am not his real wife but all the same I demand him to show me love, wow the contract also said there would be no s****l interaction it would be better. But how can he live with me without him having s*x with me? He is a man, and I surely know that he would love to have some. How would I even introduce myself to his parents as his wife? As I thought more on how I would cope in my new home, a call came to my phone. I picked the call and it was Roberts.

“What is your final decision on the contract? I really need to know” he sounded a little harsh, but I thought it was normal, and he needed it to be fast so he could accomplish his mission which I know nothing about.

“so when are you coming to pick me” I said courageously

“Wow, thank you. I will come over before the end of today, but where would I meet you because I really don't know your house?” Robert said through his voice. He was excited. But I didn't know his plans about marrying by contract.

“ We have to meet in a Joint okay when you come, please let me know okay.

After he thanked me for accepting the contract, he called. I was yet to find out the main reason why he wanted a contract marriage instead of a good one I really don't know his intentions, so I was so curious to know why, but I really don't know if he would tell me anything because I am sure he would just take me like a guest not his wife, so I had to behave myself.
