I was now convinced that Aaron was going to be there. There was no way that his sister would be hosting a get-together and he would not be around. Maybe I should call her and tell her I couldn't make it, a flu or something?. No that was not a believable lie, she saw me today, or I could tell her something came up?.
Even if I successfully avoided going because she bought my lie, I will forever be plagued by it. I hated offending people, plus I had already promised. I wanted to talk to Aaron badly but I was not ready for the rollercoaster of emotions that came with him. I needed to be fully prepared and I was planning on waiting a day or two before I even called him. Christ!
