I strode through the hallways of the packhouse with a heaviness inside my chest. A guilt. Evelyn did not deserve the way that I had acted toward her this morning. I know she did not. But upon waking, and my mind filling with memories of everything that had occurred, I simply did not know how to be toward her. My mate had seen the monster that lay beneath my skin. The monster that the full moon tore from me.
