Her heart had begin to beat faster as she recalled all of the preceding events. She took a very deep breath as she sat down in the veranda. She leaned over on her knees and placed her head in her hands. She couldn’t believe the conclusion she had arrived at; she was in love with Anrian. She shook her head as a few tears left her eyes. “Oh, God! How could this have happened!”, she exclaimed in her mind, “I don’t want to fall in love. I don’t want him to love me. I just want to be left alone. Why can’t I have that?”. She wasn’t sure how to take this, what to do next, or how she could get through the day knowing that she was in love. She sighed as she sat back up and stared blankly off into space. There’s nothing else she can do or consider anymore. It would just be best for her to go back into her school and wrap this day up.
When the day had finally come to a close, Sadie walked to her car. No one was really outside, since she decided to stay at school an hour after dismissal. As she was about to unlock her car door when she felt a hand wrap around her waist. She jumped in fear and turned around so quickly she dropped her keys and her bookbag. “I’m so sorry, darling! I didn’t mean to scare you. I just wanted to surprise you.”, Anrian sounded gently. Sadie gripped her chest tightly as she looked up at Anrian. She wasn’t afraid from him startling her anymore, instead she was afraid of the feeling that attacked her chest from her laying eyes on Anrian. She forced herself to relax. “O-oh you scared me. I didn’t see you there.”, she spoke gently. Anrian smiled down at her and took a step closer to her. Sadie, upon instinct, took a step back and bumped up against her car. She was trapped. Anrian frowned slightly but then quickly remembered and understood that Sadie had never experienced this before. He never had either but he was excited about it, while Sadie was afraid for obvious reasons. He then took another step forward and place his hands on either side of her on her car. Sadie awkwardly looked away and felt Anrian’s warm face nuzzle up against hers. He exhaled deeply, causing his warm breath to tickle Sadie’s neck. Her heart dropped and she felt like her throat was going to swell. In the midst of her thoughts, Anrian kissed her cheek and continued to kiss her face. He paused for a moment and then, slowly leaned in and kissed Sadie very softly. The sensation of Anrian’s lips on hers was mind-numbing. She gave into it as she slowly closed her eyes. Afterward, Anrian rested his forehead against Sadie’s with his eyes still closed. “I missed you these past few days. I know it hadn't been that long but it felt like eternity. I just want to be with you all the time, to feel you, to touch you, to kiss you. I...I...I love...you.”, Anrian spoke in an unfamiliar tone. Sadie’s eyes shot open and stared up at Anrian. He looked down at her with serious and tender eyes. Sadie could barely talk and opened her mouth to try to say something but no words came out. As she struggled to find her words, Anrian leaned in closer to her. His gentle lips touched hers and continued to in lingering caress. Sadie sighed deeply as Anrian pulled away afterward. “I...I love you, too, Anrian.”, she spoke in a whisper as a few tears began to run down her face. He gently wiped her tears away and held her cheek in his hand. He stared at her with a soft smile and just held her to him. “Why are you crying?”, he whispered into her ear. Sadie closed her eyes and felt more tears run down her face as she buried her face in Anrian’s chest. “I never knew I could ever feel this way. I didn’t know that this existed: love. I thought it was lie.”, she gripped onto Anrian’s shirt. “I thought that I would just be alone forever and I was totally okay with that. I mean, after all, that meant that there was no one to hurt me ever again. Then, you showed up and everything about you fought against that and I tried, I tried so hard not to like you but you were all that I thought about and the only person I wanted to be with.” Anrian’s eyes started to mist with tears of joy as he silently listened to all that Sadie had to say. Sadie paused as she took a deep spasming breath. Anrian stroked her hair gently as he then started to speak. “How lucky am I that I have such a wonderful girl to love me.”, Anrian spoke through his tears. “Life seems brighter and better ever since I first laid eyes on you. You were so guarded then, and now, I’ve gotten to get to know you and I love what I see, a strong and resilient woman who chose to live.”, Anrian smiled, “Thank you , Sadie, for choosing to live”. Sadie lifted her head slightly out of Anrian’s chest. She looked up at him and smiled.
Suddenly, Sadie heard a voice that she never thought she’d hear again. “Well, well, well, if it isn’t my love, Sadie. I see you’ve found another man. That’s cool but no one will ever have you like I did.”, the voice sounded from behind her. Anrian and Sadie both turned around very quickly to find William standing before them. He stared at Anrian and Sadie with a mischievous smile. Sadie’s heart dissolved in her stomach as she looked upon her r****t. Anrian’s eyes narrowed as he looked at whom he assumed to be William. “Can I help you, dude?”, Anrian asked in a very sarcastic tone. William’s face melted. “I’m not here for you so you don’t get to talk. I’m here for Sadie.”, he spoke with a hint of anger. Anrian’s eyes widened. Sadie stood before William, which caught William slightly by surprise. “What are you doing here, William? What do you want?”, she asked softly. William narrowed his eyes and smiled at her, sending shivers down her spine. “Why, I want you, Sadie.”, he said.
