Chapter 11Dinner was as indulgent a meal as any Jimmy had eaten in more years than he could count. Prime rib, a host of sides, endless bottles of wine, his glass poured often and he only sipping. Salad plate, cheese plate at the end, an array of desserts and of course, a two-tiered chocolate mousse cake whose arrival caused the group to erupt into song for the birthday twins. Tristan ate up the attention as he did his meal, with nary a morsel left for anyone else, including his sister, who shied away from the glow of the spotlight, even if it only came from a candle.
