MINA “Make sure to replace the meat we ate by hunting again this evening.” I turned toward Calista from the entrance of my room. She wore a triumphant expression as she closed the door, eager to lead Elias out of the house. That was fine by me. After he had attempted to remove my cloak, I had no desire to be in his presence again. With that thought in mind, I grabbed my bow and made my way toward the forest. Although hunting was exhausting, it brought me an unparalleled sense of peace; it was one of the few moments when I was undisturbed by my “family.” I set down my basket, where my harvest would lay once I was finished, and began wandering around to scout for prey.
