MINA “Is it really you, Miss Mina?” one of them asked. I looked up slowly. The two guards stood a few steps away from me, both still visibly rattled from the discovery of Rowena’s empty cell. One of them was the same guard who’d been nervously explaining procedures earlier. The other looked younger, holding his spear a little too tightly. I studied them for a second longer than necessary. “How do you know me?” I asked.
