We arrived in the South just as the skies started pouring. Everything after that felt fragmented, like I was moving through water.
The pack hospital was already anticipating our arrival. I nearly sighed in relief when I saw Tessa. However, when she swore the moment she saw him, that relief quickly recoiled.
“f**k,” she said under her breath, already moving toward him, hands glowing faintly as she peeled back the bloodied gauze. Her jaw tightened. “Who did this?”
“My aunt,” I answered. “It's wolfsbane mixed with alcohol.”
