1125 Words
Evelyn wakes up early, eager to start her first day at her new job. She takes her time getting ready, wanting to make a good impression. As she dresses, she feels a mix of excitement and nervousness. Nomsa, her colleague and friend, messages her words of encouragement. Evelyn takes a deep breath and heads out the door, determined to make the most of this opportunity. At the office, she is greeted by Nomsa, who offers to show her around. Evelyn is grateful for Nomsa's support and feels more at ease with her by her side. Settling In The first week goes by in a blur of introductions and training. Evelyn is pleased to find that her colleagues are friendly and supportive. She and Nomsa quickly become close, often eating lunch together and chatting about their shared experiences as English teachers. Despite a few minor hiccups, Evelyn settles into her new role smoothly. However, there is one issue that has been bothering her—the advances of Mr. Kim, the PE teacher. She decides to confide in Nomsa about her discomfort. Uncomfortable Advances Over coffee, Evelyn opens up to Nomsa about Mr. Kim's inappropriate behavior. Nomsa listens sympathetically, revealing that she, too, has been a victim of his unwanted advances. They share a moment of solidarity, comforting each other and vowing to support each other. Nomsa advises Evelyn to be firm and clear in her rejection of Mr. Kim, and offers to accompany her to speak with the principal if needed. Evelyn feels relieved to have Nomsa's support and is determined to put a stop to Mr. Kim's behavior. A month later, the school hosts a top achievers ceremony, bringing together parents and teachers. Evelyn, now more confident in her role, is tasked with announcing the top learners in her class. However, as she calls out the names, she mistakenly mispronounces one of the student's names—Park Gyeong. Unbeknownst to her, this would set off a chain of events that would change her life. Park Gyeong's mother, furious at the mispronunciation, storms onto the stage and slaps Evelyn across the face, causing a commotion. Evelyn, stunned and embarrassed, tries to apologize, but the mother interrupts her, berating her in front of the entire audience. Escape and Confrontation Hurt and shaken, Evelyn flees the ceremony, running to the restroom to compose herself. Nomsa, concerned for her friend, follows closely behind. As they enter the restroom, they find Mr. Kim lurking there, having followed Evelyn. He attempts to force himself on her, but Evelyn fights back, kicking him in the groin and escaping his grasp. She runs into the arms of Park Min-jun, a handsome and mysterious man,who offers to help her. Unbeknownst to her, his drink has also been spiked. Unexpected Alliance Park Min-jun, despite his own impaired state, carries Evelyn to his room to keep her safe from Mr. Kim. As he lays her on the bed, their eyes lock, and an unspoken connection forms. They find themselves drawn to each other, and in the midst of their vulnerability, they seek comfort in one another. Park Min-jun slowly undresses, revealing tattoos that fascinate Evelyn. They kiss passionately, their desires igniting. Evelyn, empowered and consenting, takes control, undressing him further and exploring his body with her touch. Intimacy and Escape Evelyn and Park Min-jun's passion intensifies as they explore each other intimately. He goes down on her, his tongue skillfully bringing her pleasure. She moans, unable to contain her desire, and asks him to be intimate with her. He hesitates, wanting to ensure her consent, and she eagerly affirms it. As they make love, it is clear that their connection goes beyond physical attraction. The morning sun filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the unfamiliar room. Evelyn stirred, her eyes adjusting to the light. And then she froze. Next to her, still asleep, lay a man. His features were sharp, his hair tousled. She had no memory of how he got there. Panic surged through her veins. Who was he? Why was he here? Evelyn slipped out of bed, her movements careful not to wake him. She dressed quickly, her mind racing. The hotel room held no clues—just a faint scent of cologne and the lingering warmth of another body. As she stepped into the hallway, Evelyn’s heart pounded. She had to leave. No explanations, no goodbyes. Just escape. Meanwhile, Park Minjun blinked awake, his disappointment palpable. Evelyn had vanished, leaving only an empty space beside him. He reached for his glasses on the nightstand, noticing her passport there. Why had she left without a word? He dressed hurriedly, the weight of her absence heavy on his chest. He’d thought they had something—a connection that transcended language barriers. But now, it seemed like a fleeting dream. Evelyn arrived at her apartment, still shaken. She freshened up, the cool water soothing her nerves. As she sank onto her couch, her phone buzzed incessantly. Twenty-three missed calls from Nomsa. Concern etched in every ring. She called her friend back, and Nomsa’s voice crackled through the line. “Evelyn! Where have you been? I was worried sick!” Evelyn explained how Mr. Kim had drugged her drink, how she’d woken up disoriented in a hotel room. Nomsa’s outrage was palpable. “That man deserves a taste of his own medicine,” she declared. They spent the day together, sharing stories and laughter. Nomsa’s warmth was a balm to Evelyn’s frayed nerves. Korean takeaways filled their plates as they dissected the events of the previous night. As evening settled in, Evelyn returned to her apartment. She stopped by a convenience store, picking up snacks—a small comfort after the chaos. But fate had other plans. A gentleman approached her outside the store. His smile was disarming, his eyes kind. “Hi,” he said. “I’m Daniel. Mind if we exchange numbers?” Daniel was a mystery wrapped in a smile. His eyes held secrets, and his laughter seemed to echo through time. Evelyn noticed the way he listened—attentive, as if her words were precious gems. They met for coffee, and their conversation flowed effortlessly. Daniel spoke of travel, art, and dreams. He was a photographer, capturing fleeting moments with his lens. His touch was gentle, and his presence—a soothing balm after chaos. Evelyn wondered if this encounter was fate or mere chance. But as they sat there, sipping coffee, she realized that sometimes, unexpected meetings lead to the most extraordinary stories. Evelyn hesitated, then nodded. Maybe this unexpected encounter was a sign—a chance to rewrite her story. And so, in the fading light, they exchanged numbers, two strangers bridging the gap between past and possibility.
