Norman POV It was happening right in front of me. Too fast to stop, yet too slow to escape. The air crackled with tension, and every sound felt amplified. The crunch of boots on gravel, the faint rustle of trees, the distant howl of a wind that suddenly felt colder than it had moments before. I forced myself to move toward Kay, my heart pounding louder with each step. What's going on, Kay? I asked. My voice steady, but my legs felt like they might betray me at any second.
