TIFFANY
The headline appeared less than three hours later, I stared at my phone. “ASHFORD HEIR DAMIAN ASHFORD TO MARRY TIFFANY BENNETT” I read it again, then again.
“This can’t be real.” Molly leaned over my shoulder. Her eyes widened. “Excuse me?”
I quickly locked my phone. “It’s nothing.”
She stared at me. “You’re terrible at lying.”
“Molly.”
“You’re engaged?”
I sighed. “Yes.”
She screamed, actually screamed, several employees turned toward us. I covered my face.
“Please don’t do that.” I said
“To Damian Ashford?” Molly asked.
“Yes.”
“The Damian Ashford?”
“Yes.”
“The billionaire CEO?”
“Yes.”
“The man who looks like he was carved by an angry Greek god?”
“Molly!”
“What?”
I tried not to laugh. “This is not funny.”
She lowered her voice. “Then explain.”
I looked around.
