Chapter 22

What a day! Crystal thought to herself as they left the dealership. There was a truck full of projects, a beautiful new ring on her finger, and keys to a new Jeep in her hand. Every day with Mike was a happy one, but today ranked at the top. She hated to give any credit to Allen Ames so she silently thanked Fate instead. Mike was able to rent a car dolly to haul the Jeep home. When they reached the two lane leg of their ride home, Crystal made good on her promise to give Mike road head. Luckily, they were in a very rural part of Iowa with almost no traffic. He had great difficulty focusing on the road as she suckled and stroked him. She knew what he liked and soon, with white knuckles gripping the steering wheel, he exploded in her mouth. “Jesus, baby,” he cried, nearly running off the road. Crystal sat up with a s**t eating grin. “You deserved it. I had an excellent day today!” “When we get home, you’re grounded to my bed!” “I was hoping you’d say that,” she smiled seductively. ** Crystal’s mostly unused cabin became the unofficial office. They set up the white board and each had an oversized notepad on an easel. A surveyor’s map of the land was tacked to the wall. It was brainstorming time. “Ok, the vineyard and/or microbrewery are on hold. I’d like to see if the plot next door goes up for sale,” Mike said thoughtfully. “I’m liking having the RV and tent sites over here towards the west side of the barn,” he pointed to the map. “Utility lines should go fairly quick and reasonable price wise.” He continued to study the map. “Yeah. Those will be a good start for bringing in revenue while we work on the rest of the property.” “And that’s my cue,” Crystal chimed in. “I’m going to use this pad to write down ideas I’ve heard you mention. You use yours to write down the first things that come to mind. Even if it doesn’t seem reasonable. Throw it out. You really only need one or two words for each project, but don’t limit yourself. Got it?” “Got it.” They worked in silence, each scribbling away with magic markers. When they were done, Crystal tore off both pieces and tacked them to the wall. “What is ‘foyer view’? Crystal asked. “You know the view from the foyer of the Victorian? I want to replicate that in the next building, but that’s all I know so far.” “You know more than that,” Crystal corrected. “Your thoughts are just tangled up like Christmas tree lights. Give me a minute.” Crystal began writing on another page of her pad and after a few moments, went to the whiteboard where she drew a large box with three sections. “Ok,” she began, turning to Mike. “I’ve reorganized the items on the paper lists into groups. Now it’s time to rank them into short term and long term. You’ve already said the vineyard/microbrewery was on hold pending the ability to buy more land. So, I’ll put those into this third box which can be used for projects we need more information on.” She carefully wrote Land, vineyard/microbrewery on the board. “Botanical garden can go in the same box along with wedding/vacation packages. There’s other steps to complete first.” “The rest of the items on the list are cabins, general store, boutiques, dining, lodge, also known as the B&B style suites, and a house.” “Wow. My head feels empty now!” Mike joked. “This is great. Now I can organize warm weather, outdoor projects and cold weather indoor projects. That was hanging me up, too. With a renovation, indoor and outdoor projects were easy. We’re only a few hours north but winter comes just a little earlier and lasts a little longer here. That cuts into outdoor project time.” He tapped the marker on his bearded chin and studied the board. Uncapping the marker, he wrote ‘Cabins’ and ‘General Store’ in the first box and added ‘Boutiques’ and ‘FORMAL Dining’ to the middle box. “Campers are generally self sufficient, but having a little store where they can get ice or anything they’ve forgotten would be a good selling point. The locals might patronize it to save trips to town, too.” He added ‘Public Access Road’ as a bullet point under ‘General Store.’ “Jacob probably knows someone who’d be willing to lease a spot to erect a*****e. There’s several Amish and Mennonite stores I’ve yet to take you to. That shaved roast beef Jacob brought last week came from one.” “Oh that was good stuff! We should definitely stock up on that! I like the idea of contracting the store out. That frees you up from one needed project. I assume formal dining is part of the plan for the wedding and vacation packages?” “Yep! I still don’t know if I’ll do restaurant or catering style, but either way, I want a formal dining room.” “You’re turning elegant on me,” Crystal joked. “It’s all your fault,” Mike laughed and playfully smacked her ass. “As for the boutiques, I could rent out space to vendors. Preferably local artisans. I know there’s wood workers, quilt and candle makers, bee keepers and more within a decent driving distance. I don’t think filling space will be difficult. “Ope, I forgot the library for a minute,” he suddenly blurted. “Nothing fancy and the books won’t leave the property, but I want a library. Maybe that will go in our house.” Mike stroked his beard. “I’m putting ‘House’ outside these boxes. That’s a personal goal. Not a business one.” “So that leaves cabins in the immediate goal box for now.” “Yes. Cabins would likely be more desirable in the winter, don’t you think?” “Yes, probably.” “It’s almost July 4th,” Mike noted. “We have 3-5 months of building time left this year. Depending on the weather. Jacob says it has snowed on Halloween once or twice.” “Oh wow! I’ve only seen snow up in the mountains once. I wouldn’t complain if it snowed on Halloween.” “Snow blade,” Mike said absently. “Sorry, I was listening. I was just thinking I need to get a snow blade for the Bobcat.” “Write it down,” Crystal winked. “We’re going to need some other things, too. Like a deep freeze and ice melt. How do you feel about building a bigger cabin for us for the winter? I’m thinking that can eventually be a guest house.” “Then these two can be available for rent.” “Exactly,” Mike said, turning from the board to her. “It’s funny how you seem to be able to read my mind.” His eyes darkened. “I just said the most ADHD paragraph of my existence to date and you didn’t miss a beat. It’s quite the turn on.” He took two short steps so he could cup her face and kiss her. Deeply. He snaked one hand down to grip an ass cheek and parted her lips with his tongue. Crystal moaned against him. They kissed all the way to the bedroom, leaving a trail of clothes in their wake. Mike pushed her onto the bed, gripping her shoulders to keep her in a sitting position, his erection inches from her mouth. He placed it between her breasts as she molded her generous mounds of flesh around his thickness. She teased his tip with her tongue. He then pushed her back and knelt between her legs to taste her. With his mouth and fingers, he brought her just to the edge and when he knew she was hanging by a thread, he plunged into her, making hard and fast strokes. Her vaginal walls kiegeled around him and he came with her. It was like that sometimes. Hard and fast, but still just as satisfying as soft and slow. They snuggled together for a while before their stomachs reminded them it was close to supper time. “Thank you,” Mike murmured into her hair. “For helping me get my thoughts out. I feel a lot lighter now.” “Thank you for the s*x,” she teased.
