As Oliver and I walk outside toward the back of the house, the cool, crisp breeze outside feels inviting as it brushes against my skin. Soon it will be winter, and I'll shift until the weather becomes warmer. Although, maybe, just maybe, I can avoid shifting. After all, I've never felt the same pull to shift as the other fox shifters. "Where are we going?" I ask, bouncing alongside Oliver.  "You'll see," he states with a smile.  The air around us returns to being silent—all except for the wind and crunching beneath my shoes. I would've worn Oliver's house slippers outside, but he suggested I wear tennis shoes, something about involving physical activity.
