The Prophecy

Chapter 2

Kim POV

    I am so happy that me and my best friend/sister, Snow, will be going to college together. Ever since I met her, I felt that she was special and need my protection. My father, Mitch, is the Beta of Snow’s Dad. My mother died giving birth to me. My father remarried last year to Sandra who is a pretty cool stepmother. My grandmother (Dottie) and Luna/Aunt Bella raised me. Kale (my wolf) intervenes, “Look Snow is redder than a tomato.” Snow becomes very embarrass every time her mother brings up the topic of “mates”. I love jumping into the conversations. I say, “Auntie Bella, I hope I find my mate in college.” Kale starts giggling in my mind and says, “Can’t wait to lose my virginity to my mate…” Snow rolled her eyes at me and all I could do is laugh. Snow is so beautiful, but she is not interested in boys. She is all about her education… Such a Bookworm…

    We park the SUV at the main office at Mansfield University. We all get out of the truck. I say, “Sis, this college is ENORMOUS!! Snow says, “Yes, it is.” We walk to the receptionist desk and gave her our names. She stated for us to follow her and she led us to our tour group. The tour hostess was going over the agenda and provided us with a folder with all the admission documents.

Me: Snow, look at the guy over there.

Snow: Kim, pay attention… You know I am not looking at no guy.

Me: Well, he is looking at you.

Snow: Whatever, Kim.

Me: Do you smell anything? I nudged her side.

Snow: Kim, NO AND NOW STOP IT…

    Everyone turned around to look at me… I out my hand over my mouth and said, “I’m sorry.” The tour hostess started talking again.

Me: You did have to scream at me.

Snow: Well, you know I hate that topic.

Me: I don’t know why because you will have one… We all will have a mate.

Snow: Not me remember I am human.

Me: That does not matter…

    Well, we walked through each building I was drooling over every human and supernatural man on the campus. They were so handsome and sexy. Snow just shook her head. I hope we pick this college because I’m definitely going to lose my virginity.  The last tour was of the college’s apartment dorms which were amazing. The tour hostess stated that the college built these apartments this year. They were two-bedroom apartments with 2.5 bathrooms and two walk-in closets. The apartment had a nice size kitchen with a balcony. I know Snow was happy with the apartment because she would not leave the walk-in closet. I walked in the closet and says, “I guess this is the school?” Snow says, “You know it. I love this apartment.” Snow and I walks out of the apartment and take the elevator to the lobby.  Alpha/Uncle Blake ask, “Will this be an all-girl dorm?” The hostess says, “No this is a co-ed dorm. One floor for the girls and the next floor for the boys.” Alpha/Blake says to Snow, “I don’t know about this.” Luna/Auntie Bella says, “She will be fine, and we want her to find her mate.” Alpha/Blake growled and says, “No we don’t… Only you… I hope my princess never finds him.” Snow just walked off and stood at the SUV. I wanted to laugh but I knew that it would my sister even madder, so I just went over to her and give her a hug.

    The college tour was awesome. During our ride home, Snow and I decide that this was the college we wanted to attend. Mansfield University see you in September. We got home late in the evening and can you say “beat”. My legs hurt so bad from all the walking during the tour. I told my Snow, Uncle Blake, and Aunt Bella good night. I slowly walked to my room and fell face first in my king size bed.

 Snow POV

 Two Months Later

     During the summer months, I helped my mom with her Luna duties, trained, and volunteer at the pack’s day care. My mother believes that I will be a Luna one day, but I don’t think so. My birthday is in two days (August 21) and I still don’t have plans. I am laying on my bed watching a TV. My Mom let me have the next three days off since it was my birthday weekend. My cellphone begins to ring. I look at the cellphone, it’s Kim. I answer the phone.

 Me: Hey Kim, What's up?

Kim: Hey Boo, I think I got a plan for your birthday.

Me: Ok What kind of plan and Where?

Kim: Well, there's a new club opening in Riverbank Pack territory and I happen to get two VIP tickets. It’s called “Blue Mates Bar”

Me: How did you manage that? Really Blue Mates… Why?

Kim: I got my ways, but I think it will be fun. The name sounds great. I bet we will meet our mates there. (She starts to laugh)

Me: Kim, nothing is funny. What ways? Not too sure if I'm up for a party or going into another pack's territory. Too Risky!!

Kim: Well I was at the mall and this handsome guy was selling the tickets. I persuaded him to give me two tickets. I told him that you were sad that you didn’t have plans for your birthday. He might me your type, Snow. You only live once... so let's do it…

Me: WHAT!!! You don’t even know my type because I don’t even know my type. Nope (popping the p) ... seems like a bad idea to me… I pass!!!

Kim: Well, I hear that the Alpha is young & handsome...

Me: Kim, I don’t care... You know I hate Alphas… I gotta go, bye crazy!

Kim: Please think about... but can you go to the mall with me tomorrow...

Me: Kim, I am not spending all day at the mall either. Didn’t you go to the mall yesterday?

Kim: So!!!

Me (with a long sigh): I’ll think about the party and I’ll see you tomorrow.

     After hanging up the phone, I head down to the kitchen to get lunch and a snack. My mom is seating at the kitchen’s island drinking tea...

 Mom: Hey Baby Girl!

Me: Hi Mom!

Mom: What's going on... any plans for your birthday?

Me: Nope, Not really. Kim asked me if I wanted to go to a party in Riverbank pack... she says she has two tickets.

Mom: Are you going? You should go... sounds like fun... I'll talk to you Dad about this.

Me: Mom, you know that's not my cup of tea... and don’t bother Dad with this, he has better things to do.

Mom: Snow, you have to get out and socialize more... You can’t find your mate hiding here... So, you are going?

Me: Mom, I have not even decided to go. Bye Mom!

In my head, it’s time for me to go. I turn around and walk back to my room...

     I don’t understand what all the fuss is, when it comes to me meeting my mate or new friends. I am happy with the people I have in my life right now. She knows I don’t want a mate right now... I guess that's not important... I stay in my room all evening watching scary movies. About 12midnight, I started to feel awkward, so I turn the TV off and counted those sheep.
