CHAPTER THIRTY-TWO
The following three weeks ran the team to the ground. The squad buzzed with a flurry of activity. McNamara had given carte blanche to James, and the Sergeant was allowed to choose his people.
James had assigned constables to make more inquiries in the disappearance of Daniel Black. He had also asked the help of Interpol to locate the man, although the Sergeant had little doubt that the poor old man was not among the living anymore.
However, slowly, news started trickling in, thus brightening his mood. Little by little, his people started unfolding the profitable business of Lachlan MacDonald. James had sworn not to let go until they found out every single scheme the man had developed.
