Chapter 3

1124 Words
Sarah felt so much fear when she saw Priscilla stand at the entrance of her room, she stopped packing and stood still, not saying a word but with a very worried look on her face. “I can’t remember the last time he f****d me that well, let alone make me c*m” Priscilla said, walking to where she was with a calmness which got Sarah very confused and scared. “I am so sorry. ma’. We did not mean to offend you, and that was very wrong of me. I will leave instantly if you want me to,” she said, shaking in fear and full of shame. “ Don’t worry about it, Sarah, and I want you to stay. It’s not easy to find a nanny who takes care of the family like you do. Besides, I need you to take baby John to the hospital tomorrow, “ she said with sarcasm but at the same time, as she really meant it. “You don’t have to accommodate me, I will leave.” “No, don’t. We don’t want to raise suspicions to the public, we know just how much they love juicy stories, and besides, it's good for the wife to know her husband’s mistress, you know. You be sure they are safe from any wild sickness. We are healthy, Sarah, aren’t we?” “Yes, ma’am” “And faithful to our husband?” “Yes, ma’am” “Good, I have something to ask of you and this is not a request,” Priscilla said to her, turning all serious like she meant no joke. Sarah nodded in obedience to hear what she wanted to say to her. “I want you to make sure this side business you have with my husband continues. Do you hear me?” she ordered her and Sarah got even more confused. “But it’s not right.” “It is right if the wife is okay with it, but if you don’t do that then we will have a problem and I am sure you don’t want that,” she said and walked out of the room after she nodded to agree that she would make sure it all continues and wouldn’t say a word about it to Mr. Lodipo. Priscilla was always in long dresses and very respectful clothes as she was raised in that set-up and she never wore any exposing clothes, but this morning she wore one of the trousers she would wear in the so-called “Dera” which was a long light dress famously worn by the Swahili. Only her husband had seen her curvy body, but on this day the trousers she was in were exposing her curviness to the world to see. She wore it with a light white top and some heels that made her look so hot, Mr. Lodipo couldn’t take his eyes off her when she walked to the breakfast table. “You look amazing” he complimented her and she smiled back at him with a thank you. Sarah was bringing to the table some scrambled eggs that Priscilla had ordered earlier before taking a shower and getting all dressed up. “Are you going to see someone?” Mr. Lodipo asked, feeling very insecure about his wife leaving the house looking like that. She could clearly see he was very worried and was in desperate need to know where she was going to. “If you must know, I am going to see my friends, take my mind off some things” she responded to him, and after having a bite of the food she rose up ready to leave. “Sarah, make sure you tell the doctor about his temperature last night; you will give me the report once I am back. Honey you have a good day” she said, looking as if she was in such a good mood and walked away, leaving her husband staring at her ass while she walked away. “Do you trust her, is she really going to see her friends?” Sarah asked, still holding the jug of juice she was bringing to the table. “I don’t know”, Mr. Lodipo responded in very deep thought. “ Don’t you have the track on her?” “She had me remove all of them. What did she tell you last night?” “That she wants me to stay. I don’t think she is really calm about this. We should watch our backs every minute.” “Yeah, that’s why we have to stop what we have been doing. It is not safe anymore.” “No! We can’t stop that, we can just get more secretive and not do it in the house” she quickly responded, remembering the look on Priscilla’s face when she told her to make sure it continues. “Are you stupid Sarah!! This is all over!!” he said and angrily got from his chair to leave the work, leaving Sarah all alone there and confused. She drove herself to Mathew’s office because she had talked to one of her brothers who arranged a meeting for her. She wore some dark glasses and a big black hat that covered her face. One couldn’t tell it was the governor’s wife who had come to see Mathew who was also vying for that position. She had to be very careful. She found him busy with some papers he was looking at, and he was also puzzled to see her dressed so. She had appeared in public dressed in dresses and clothes that portrayed the highest of values in the Arcado family. “What a pleasure to see you here, Priscilla,” Mathew said, getting up from his seat to greet her by her hand. “Thank you, could we perhaps talk at a more private place,” Priscilla asked as she sat. “Is it that private, or is this a setup?” “No, Mathew, you act like you didn’t know me from back in school. I was way younger but we crossed paths once in a while, remember” “How can one forget those good old days? Surely let me make a call and we will have our private meeting in a few minutes. I hope there is a catch.” “There is always a catch,” she said, winking at him and placing back her dark glasses while he dialed some number and began talking to someone. Immediately after the call, he directed her to meet him in his car, but not at the front gate but behind, where he would escape through once the media were all over the place.
