The environment suddenly grew tense as Lesley continued to use her powers unabated. I wasn't sure if what Gus was doing would work, but Lesley seemed to draw even more strength from her surroundings.
Lianne rushed at Lesley, but she couldn't reach her due to Lesley's sudden release of immense power. I saw how much water she was manipulating, as if she were ready to hurl it at us.
Gus wasn't finished concentrating yet, and Lianne was weakening due to the powerful energy affecting them. So, I took it upon myself to create a new shield to protect us from Lesley's next attack. I wasn't sure if I could defend against such immense power.
I just closed my eyes and let her power hit me. Suddenly, I was brought to a stop when I felt the water crash to the ground and my shield shattered
