CHAP 9

I kept blinking as I stared at the ceiling. I could not believe Valjerome was lying next to me now. Most of all, I never thought I would wake up in his arms. He's freakin' hugging me. I held my breath as I felt Valjerome's arm tighten around me and pull me even closer to his body. "You're awake early," he said hoarsely as he pressed his face against my neck. I felt like my heart would leap out of my chest from how hard it was beating. I cleared my throat and tried to speak despite my quivering lips. "It’s morning already, Val," I said softly. He just hummed and nodded against my neck. I could even feel him sniffing me. "Are you still sore?" he asked. My face automatically heated up as I remembered what we did last night. "Val!" I shouted when his hand cupped my womanhood. I'm wearing a shirt and cotton shorts now, so I don't wonder anymore how that happened. "Hmm. Swollen," he whispered. If there’s something redder than a tomato, I’m sure that’s the color of my face right now. How could I not be? Your weapon is too big. He pulled his face away and looked at me gently. "Good morning," he greeted. For the second time, I blinked repeatedly as I stared into his gentle eyes. "G-good morning," I responded. Am I having a convulsion? "What do you want for breakfast?" he asked as he buried his face in my neck again. I didn’t know what to answer. It felt like my brain was floating because of everything that was happening. I wanted to ask him, but I was afraid this illusion would suddenly disappear. "Anything," I answered. He gave me another tight hug before slowly getting up. I just watched his movements, still amazed by his sudden change. "I'll cook. I'll just ask Manang to call you when it's time to eat," he said as he bent down to kiss my forehead. "Rest, okay?" he added. I could only nod in response as I repeatedly felt his kisses on my forehead. He gave me a faint smile before turning his back to me. I watched him leave my room. I let out a deep breath as the door finally closed. "What the hell is happening right now?" I murmured to myself. "Did he change because something happened between us?" I stayed frozen for a few minutes before deciding to get up and take a shower. But as I was about to sit up, I fell back onto the bed because I could still feel the pain in the lower part of my body. "Fvck!" I exclaimed as I squeezed my eyes shut. My lips quivered from both amazement and pain. "Is losing your virginity really this painful?!" I exclaimed, shaking my head. I took several deep breaths before slowly sitting up. Once I got used to the pain, I slowly stood and walked toward the bathroom. "What the... merciful heaven, why did you give me a husband with a vacuum mouth?" I muttered unconsciously as I looked at the red marks covering my body in the mirror's reflection. One, two, three, four, five, six, I counted in my head as I removed the shirt I was wearing. "Six hickeys for Jazzie Zamora this morning," I said, shaking my head in disbelief. Instead of dwelling on them, I simply washed my face and brushed my teeth. Heaven first, hell after. My phone rang just as I came out of the bathroom. I slowly walked toward the bedside table and answered the call when I saw Azy's name on the screen. "Good morning, my beautiful model!" he greeted warmly. I rolled my eyes and gently sat on my bed. My face turned red when I noticed another red mark. "You are so early for gossip," I said sarcastically. He chuckled. "Excuse me, I am your best friend, remember? So I should be the first to know everything," he said. I sighed deeply and rubbed my forehead. "What happened at the shoot?" I asked. "Hmm. Well, actually, Mr. Chaos demanded a second photoshoot. I'm sorry, Jazzie. I didn't know it would go this far. You also never told me that your husband is one of the most famous businessmen here in the Philippines," he said at length. Even abroad, I corrected him in my mind. "It's okay. I'm at fault too." I sighed deeply before biting my lower lip. "The media... they're... not informed about the news?" I asked hesitantly. "Mr. Chaos handled everyone involved in the incident. Just be grateful that most of his staff were there, and the others were bribed with 'cha-ching!'" he explained. My forehead furrowed at what my manager said. Why would he do that? "So... when did you get married? Seriously, you really kept it a secret from me," Azy added sulkily. I shook my head and gave him a small smile. "We just celebrated our third anniversary last week," I replied. He shrieked over the phone. "That's why you cleared your schedule! Wow! You've had plenty of time for watering," he scoffed. My face automatically heated up. Instead of feeling sad because that hadn't really happened, I was overwhelmed with embarrassment because of what Valjerome and I did last night. "Stop it, Azy Angelo," I warned. He dramatically gasped. "You are so bad at bonding, Jazzie!" I laughed softly, though I immediately regretted it when I felt the pain. Damn! "By the way, will we continue the shoots in the next few days?" he asked hesitantly. I sighed as I looked down at myself. "I think I'll be resting for a week. I just have to fix things." I need these kiss marks to fade first! "Okay, I'll clear your schedule. Keep safe always," he said. "Ahmm, Jazzie?" he added. I simply hummed in response. "Girl, if you don't want your husband anymore, just donate him to me, okay?" he said before giggling. I covered my face in embarrassment. "Last time I checked, you liked girls," I replied. "I've changed my mind. I would like to be inserted." He burst into laughter afterward. "Oh my God. Your mouth, Azy!" I exclaimed in horror. He continued laughing as though he could see my reaction. "I'm ending this call now before you say something even more disgusting," I said before ending the call. I shook my head in disbelief as I placed my phone back on the bedside table. Who said I was going to donate my husband? As if on cue, I heard a knock on the door before Valjerome entered. "You're done?" I asked casually, yet shyly at the same time. He gave me a small smile before walking toward me. He sat beside me and wrapped an arm around my waist. "I decided to book a table at a restaurant," he murmured as he buried his face against my neck. I froze in place. I wasn't sure if it was because we were eating out or because of how he was acting right now. "Val..." I called as I bit my lower lip. "Yes?" he replied in his hoarse voice before looking up at me. I inhaled deeply and stared into his eyes. "Why are you like this?" I asked boldly despite the nervous pounding in my chest. "I mean... we're not like this, you know," I reminded him. He simply stared at me until he slowly pulled away. I saw him gulp twice. I thought he would finally give me a clear answer, but I was wrong because he changed the subject. "Do you want to go to the company with me?"
