A thousand dollars kiss.

Betty. The evening was quiet, with only only the cool winter breeze blowing across my face. Dinner had been awesome; the food, the drink, the scenery, and Harrison's hovering dominating aura made the experience one to remember in a lifetime. As I pushed my chair back, preparing to retreat to the safety of my room, his voice stopped me in my tracks. “Where are you going, Betty?” His tone was calm, but there was something in it that froze me on the spot. I turned slowly, my heart pounding. “To my room, Mr. Harrison,” I replied, trying to sound composed, though I could feel the tremor in my voice. “Hmmm.” He rose from his seat with a deliberate grace that sent a shiver down my spine. “I thought we just made a deal. You’re my girl now, Betty.” his voice was sexy and rough. My breath caught as he crossed the table toward me, his every step radiating authority and raw magnetism. When he stopped in front of me, he leaned in so close I could feel the warmth of his breath. “Our deal starts immediately,” he murmured, his voice a low rumble in my ear. “And one more thing. Don’t call me Mr. Harrison. Call me Alex—especially when I’m eating you out.” His bluntness left me reeling, my cheeks burning with a mix of shock and something I didn’t want to name. My emotions were all over the place—desire, fear, self-doubt—swirling together until I could barely breathe. Despite the confident facade I tried to maintain, a familiar wave of insecurity crept over me. I could still hear my ex-lover’s cruel words echoing in my mind: "You’re too fat. Too ugly. No one will ever want you." I glanced down at myself, my hands trembling slightly. What would Alex think when he sees me naked? Would he like and appreciate my curves and imperfections? I keep wondering why he has chosen me when he could have picked any beautiful modeled body girl of his choice. Was this all some twisted game? Sensing my hesitation, Alex gently tilted my chin, forcing me to meet his gaze. His eyes were steady, searching, as though he could see every doubt, every fear I was trying to hide. “What’s going through your mind, Betty?” he asked, his voice softer now. For a moment, I considered telling him the truth. To let him in on my insecurities. But then I thought better of it. He had chosen me, brought me here, invited me into his world. Surely, he already knew what he was getting into. “Nothing,” I said faintly, dropping my eyes to avoid his penetrating stare. “Are you sure?” he pressed, his tone leaving no room for pretense. “I’m not going to force you to do anything you don’t want to do.” “I’m sure,” I lied, though my voice quivered. “But… do you mind if we start this tomorrow? I—I’m not sure I’m ready for tonight.” I murmured. He studied me for what felt like an eternity, his expression unreadable. Finally, with a slight shrug and a playful glint in his eye, he said, “Sure.” I exhaled a quiet sigh of relief and turned to leave, but before I could take more than a step, his hand encircled my waist, pulling me back. Sparks shot through me at his touch, and when I looked up at him, the intensity in his gaze made my knees weak. “Are you going to leave me without a goodnight kiss?” he asked, his voice breaking into my thoughts. “Mr. Harrison…” I began, but he cut me off with a sly smile. “I told you to call me Alex, Betty. You’re not very good at following rules, are you?” he teased. “I’m sorry, M—Alex,” I stammered, my cheeks flaming. “I’m still waiting for my kiss,” he said, his smirk deepening. I hesitated, my mind racing. Finally, I leaned in, brushing my lips against his in a quick, chaste kiss. The brief contact sent a jolt of emotion coursing through me, leaving me breathless. When I pulled back, he tilted his head, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. “What was that?” he teased. “A kiss,” I replied, my voice barely above a whisper. He chuckled, shaking his head. “It seems I forgot to mention something about our deal. How well you treat me will determine how charitable I’ll be with your orphanage. And what you just did? That’s barely worth a hundred dollars. Would you like me to send your orphanage a hundred-dollar note tonight?” he taunted with a mischievous smile. My heart dropped. He had earlier made it known there would be strings attached to his generosity, but hearing him say again plainly stung. Of course, I would love every orphan in there to have the best life that I ever had; during my time, the orphanage was struggling, and I could barely get enough to keep them open. So, I felt a generous donation would help lessen the burden on the staff and children of the orphanage. “What do you want, Alex?” I asked, my voice trembling. “I want you to kiss me,” he said, his tone firm. “And this time, I want you to put your body and soul into it.” I swallowed hard, his words igniting a fire within me that I couldn’t ignore. Slowly, I leaned in again, my hands resting lightly on his chest. This time, I kissed him with everything I had, letting myself get lost in the moment. He didn’t hold back either, his lips moving against mine with a skill that left me dizzy. He wrapped his arms around me, lifting me off the ground as I instinctively wrapped my legs around his waist. Our kisses grew deeper and more urgent until the world around us seemed to disappear. I had never felt anything like this before. All my doubts, my insecurities, my fears—they melted away under the heat of his touch. For those few moments, I was his entirely, and it was both terrifying and exhilarating. But just as quickly as it had begun, he pulled back, gently setting me down. My lips tingled, my body aching with unfulfilled desire as we both struggled to catch our breath. “That,” he said, brushing his thumb across my swollen lips, “was delicious. And worth hundreds of thousands.” I blinked up at him, still reeling from the intensity of the moment. “Get some rest,” he continued, his voice softer now. “Tomorrow will be a long day.” I nodded, my mind a whirlwind of emotions as I turned and made my way back to my room. Once inside, I leaned against the door, my fingers brushing over my lips as I replayed the kiss in my mind. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced—intense, exhilarating, and utterly disarming. But as the euphoria began to fade, the doubts crept back in. Was this really what I wanted? Could I handle being with a man like Alex, even though it was just two weeks, knowing the power he held over me? And most importantly, could I trust myself not to fall completely in love with him? Was playing with my heart worth the risk? I sighed, pushing myself off the door and moving toward the window. The moonlight spilled into the room, casting a soft glow over the bed. Time would bring answers, I told myself. With time, I would know whether this was the beginning of something extraordinary—or the start of a mistake I couldn’t undo. For now, all I could do was wait.
