Amelia followed the mysterious man through the park, her heart pounding with a mixture of fear and curiosity. She couldn't explain why she felt such an intense connection to him, but something deep inside her told her to trust him.
As they walked in silence, Amelia couldn't help but steal glances at the man beside her. He was tall and muscular, his dark hair falling in waves around his chiseled face. His piercing blue eyes held a hint of sadness, but also a fierce determination.
Finally, they reached a secluded spot in the park, hidden from prying eyes. The man turned to face Amelia, his gaze intense.
“Why are you in a wedding dress, are you a runaway bride?” He asked
“I wish” she whispered
"I am Lucius," he said, his voice resonating with power. "And I am a lycan." He boosted
Amelia's eyes widened in surprise. She had heard stories of lycans, powerful beings with the ability to transform into wolves. But she had always believed them to be nothing more than legends.
"You're a lycan?" she asked, her voice filled with awe.
Lucius nodded. "Yes, and I sensed something within you, something that drew me to you. It is rare for a lycan to find their mate, but I believe you are mine."
Amelia's heart skipped a beat. She had heard of the concept of mates, two souls destined to be together. But she had never imagined that she would be connected to a lycan, let alone be his mate.
"I don't understand," she said, her voice trembling. "How can I be your mate? I'm just a broken-hearted woman whose life has fallen apart."
Lucius reached out and gently cupped Amelia's face, his touch sending a jolt of electricity through her. "You are so much more than that. You are strong, resilient, and deserving of love. Together, we can heal each other's wounds and seek the justice you deserve."
“You don’t even know my name, you met me in a wedding meaning I was supposed to belong to another man” she said
“Then, introduce yourself to me, you are mine and I will never let you go” he answered with determination.
Amelia looked into Lucius' eyes, seeing the sincerity and determination within them. She knew that she had a choice to make, a choice that could change the course of her life forever.
"Amelia," she whispered, her voice shaking. "My name is Amelia."
“Beautiful name for a damsel who is going to be mine”
“I know you said I am your mate and I feel a connection to you but I don’t think I am ready, A guy just choose another lady over me on our wedding day”
“He is a fool for losing something special as you, lucky for you, I am not a guy but a man and I am ready to show you how special you are everyday” Lucius replied
“I am not ready, you are a stranger, I should leave” She turned to leave but was stopped abruptly
“Stopped” he commands with power that even her wolf couldn't resist
He moved closer to her and cupped her chin “I told you how rare it is for a lycan to find their mate and I just found you” he said trying to reason with her
She stares blankly “What has that got to do with me, I don't want it to have anything to do with any guy” she replied.
“I am not any guy Amelia” he cooes
Her name rolls smoothly out of his mouth causing her body to shiver “I don't care, I am beginning to feel uncomfortable in this dress” She raised her dress up.
“I have something in my car, you can change out of it” he suggested.
“ I am not going to change in front of you,” Amelia said
“Don't be scared of me mate and I promised not to look” he assured.
“There you are, I have searched for you everywhere,” A voice said interrupting the both of them intense glance
“Sarah” Amelia called the name of her best friend after seeing her.
“Do you know how worried I was and here you are talking to..” she turned to face the person she was with “Alpha Lucius” She bowed her head
“ you know him,” Amelia asked stunned
“Don't tell me you don't know who he is, he is the most feared Lycan” she whispered the last part for only me to hear but I knew it was useless because his hearing was sharper than ours.
“We will take our leave now,” Amelia said, seeing her friend as her excuse.
“See you later mate,” he said without arguing.
Amelia knew in her heart she wasn't going to see him again, she was an introvert. Her wolf whimpers at the thought of not seeing her mate again, she watched the back of his head disappear.
“What does him mean by mate” her friend interrupted her calling her attention
“He said I am his mate,” she replied nonchalantly.
“You are a lycan mate” Sarah screamed
“Lower your voice, I need to get home and change out of this,” she said
“You are Alpha Lucius mate, the most powerful alpha mate,” her friend said excitedly
“Don't forget someone just abandoned me for another” Amelia reminded her hailing at the cab that was passing.
The cab stopped and the both of them got in “Where to” the man asked.
Amelia started regretting that she should have just changed into her Wolf and taken a run, Sarah told the man where they were going and they took off.
“Forget about Dylan, I am also disappointed in him”
Amelia rested her head on her friend's shoulder, she was exhausted from running and crying, and she just wanted to get home and change into something else “I am going to make him regret ever ditching me” she swore.
All the love and affection she felt towards Dylan in that instance turned into hatred and she was going to make him pay for everything.
