Lucius moves his mouth closer to ear “don’t say that word except you mean it” he warned “I didn’t mean it that way” she started waving her hands to prove him wrong. Lucius chuckled, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "I can assure you, Amelia, that I have no intention of taking advantage of you. I respect you and your boundaries." Amelia blushed, feeling a mix of embarrassment and relief. She had been through so much with Dylan, and the thought of being with someone who truly respected her was both foreign and exhilarating. As the night went on, Amelia and Lucius talked and laughed, getting to know each other on a deeper level. They discovered shared interests, dreams, and fears. It felt like they had known each other for a lifetime, and yet, they were just beginning their journey together. As the music blared and the crowd danced around them, Amelia couldn't help but feel a sense of freedom and happiness. She had finally let go of her past and embraced the possibility of a future filled with love and joy. As the night came to an end, Lucius walked Amelia and Sarah back to their apartment. They stood outside the door, the air filled with a mixture of anticipation and uncertainty. "I had a wonderful time tonight," Lucius said, his voice filled with sincerity. "I hope we can do this again." Amelia smiled, her heart fluttering with happiness. "I would love that," she replied. Lucius leaned in and gently kissed her on the cheek, his touch sending shivers down her spine. "Goodnight, Amelia," he whispered. "Goodnight, Lucius," she said, her voice filled with warmth. As she watched him walk away, Amelia couldn't help but feel a sense of hope and excitement. She knew that opening her heart to love again was a risk, but it was a risk worth taking. With Lucius by her side, she felt like she could conquer anything that came her way. “I never saw you this happy before, not even when you were with Dylan” Sarah interrupted her chains of thoughts. “I don’t know what you are talking about” she tries to deny it but she couldn’t help the smile that crept into her face. “That’s the smile I am talking about,” Sarah pointed out. As Amelia closed the door behind her and Sarah, she couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude. She was glad she met him earlier today, she never believed in mates and that’s why she has let herself fall in love with Dylan. “Are you going to work tomorrow?” Sarah asked. They might be a wolf but they still go about their business like every human does. “I guess, there is no more honeymoon considering the fact I am not married” “I am sure you are glad you haven’t tied the knot with him” Sarah asked “At least he showed his true self,” she agreed. “And you get to meet your mate, your other half” she giggled “Who I don’t know if I will be seeing again” the thought crossed her mind, they haven’t shared anything about their contacts and she wasn’t sure if he can mind link her yet since he hasn’t marked her. “Fate brought you guys together, it even allows you to meet again tonight” she answered “Moreover, he knew where we stayed now considering he brought us home today” she added Amelia's mind did a flashback remembering he had insisted that he walked them home, was it because he wanted to know where they stayed, she blushed at the thought of seeing him again. She doesn't even know more about this mysterious man who drives her crazy even with the thoughts of him. “You are right, I want to retire to bed, I don't want to be late tomorrow” “Remember to drink water if you don't want to wake up with a headache” Sarah warned, knowing she had taken some alcohol earlier tonight. “Alright” Amelia replied and walked to her room She let herself out of the clothes she was wearing and took a bottle of water from the mini-fridge in her room before retiring to her bed. And as she lay in bed that night, her heart full of hope and love, Amelia knew that her life was forever changed. She had found her soulmate, her partner in crime, and her greatest love. And she couldn't wait to see what the future held for them. “Amelia run,” her mother said to her She ran as fast as her leg could carry her, her father had left on one of his trips leaving her and her siblings with their mother. One night, she heard a noise downstairs and she went to check but what she saw was a nightmare. “Mother” she screamed She was being held by a cloaked man who kept stabbing her over and over again, beside him was her father’s Beta, enjoying the view “She saw me, don't let her escape” he said to the man. Seeing that she was the next target, she obeyed her mother's command and ran until she couldn't run again inside the woods. “It's just a nightmare, wake up Amelia” she heard someone say. She struggled hard with the person “Please, please don't kill me” she pleaded. “It's just a dream,” the person replied. Amelia forced her eyes open and saw her best friend's worried expression hovering over her “Did I wake you up with my dream again” “No, I was coming to wake you up before” Sarah replied. “I am sorry” she apologized as she sat up. “There is nothing to be sorry about, I understand, everyone has their own problems” Amelia hugged her friend “I am blessed to have you” she laughed “Same here, now go get ready for work if you don’t want to be late” she nudged her. Amelia stood up and went to her wardrobe to go prepare the perfect outfit to wear to work today before going to the bathroom to prepare. As an omega, the only work she is permitted to do was to work as an assistant for a pack doctor and she loves it.
