Isla tried to calm herself down.
She really tried.
She took a deep breath, trying to steady herself, but it didn’t help.
Her hands continued to tremble.
Her breathing grew heavier, her chest rising and falling rapidly as she struggled to regain control.
But she couldn’t.
The anger, frustration, and overwhelming emotions inside her kept building until she could no longer contain them.
A scream tore out of her.
She grabbed the nearest object and hurled it across the room.
It crashed against the wall.
She didn’t stop.
Another object flew from her hands.
Then another.
Soon, the entire room was being torn apart.
Books were thrown from their places. Decorative pieces were knocked over. Clothes were scattered across the floor, and anything within Isla’s reach was either thrown or smashed.
Everything became a mess.
The sound of breaking objects and Isla’s screams echoed through the house.
Liam heard the noise from the hallway and immediately ran toward her room.
“Ma’am!”
He pushed the door open.
“Ma’am, what happened?”
He stepped inside and froze for a moment.
Isla was standing in the middle of the wreckage, trembling violently.
“Ma’am, please—”
Liam moved toward her, trying to stop her.
But Isla shoved his hands away.
“Don’t touch me!”
“Ma’am, please calm down.”
“I said leave me alone!”
She grabbed another object.
Liam tried to take it from her, but Isla resisted.
She was too furious, too overwhelmed to listen to him.
Finally, unable to stop her any other way, Liam shouted.
“ISLA, STOP!”
His voice echoed through the room.
“Enough! Have you gone mad?”
Isla instantly stopped.
Silence filled the room.
She slowly turned toward him.
“What did you just say?”
Liam immediately realized what he had done.
“I—I mean… Ma’am. I’m sorry, Ma’am.”
Isla’s eyes hardened.
“Don’t you dare call me by my name.”
“Ma’am, I—”
“Get out of my room.”
“But, Ma’am—”
“Now.”
Liam stood there helplessly.
“I’m sorry, Ma’am. I—I just lost my temper. I’m sorry.”
Isla’s expression remained cold.
She kicked the nightstand beside her.
The sharp edge caught her ankle, cutting her skin.
She flinched as blood immediately began to run down her leg.
Liam’s eyes widened.
“Ma’am, your ankle—you’re hurt.”
“Get out, Liam!”
“Please, Ma’am—”
“Leave me alone!”
“Ma’am, please. I can’t leave you like this.”
Liam took another cautious step toward her.
“You’re hurting yourself.”
Isla glared at him.
“Liam, leave me alone.”
“Ma’am—”
“I said leave me alone!”
Liam remained where he was.
“I’m not leaving you while you’re like this.”
Isla stared at him for a few seconds.
Then her jaw tightened.
“If you won’t leave…”
She turned toward the door.
“…then I will.”
Before Liam could stop her, Isla stormed out of the room.
“Ma’am!”
Liam immediately followed.
Isla reached the hall and began throwing the flowers that were usually arranged around the house.
One vase crashed onto the floor.
Then another.
Flowers scattered everywhere.
“Ma’am, please!” Liam pleaded as he followed behind her. “Please calm down.”
Isla ignored him.
She continued knocking things over, throwing anything she could reach.
Mia had just returned when she froze at the sight before her.
She stared at the destruction around her.
“Isla… what the hell are you doing?”
She rushed toward her.
“Isla, stop! Look at what you’re doing!”
Mia tried to stop her, but Isla shoved her away.
“Don’t touch me!”
Mia stumbled backward.
“Isla, stop! You’re going to hurt yourself!”
But Isla didn’t listen.
She turned and stormed into the kitchen.
Liam’s face immediately changed.
“Ma’am, please don’t go in there.”
Isla grabbed a plate.
She threw it onto the floor.
CRASH.
Another plate followed.
CRASH.
Then another.
The kitchen quickly filled with the sound of breaking porcelain and glass.
Mia followed her inside.
“Isla, stop! What are you doing?”
Isla grabbed a glass and smashed it.
Sharp pieces scattered across the floor.
Some of them cut into her hands and feet.
Blood began to appear on her skin.
But Isla didn’t seem to care.
She reached for another plate.
Liam couldn’t take it anymore.
He rushed toward her.
“Ma’am!”
He dropped down in front of her.
Broken glass surrounded him, but he didn’t care.
He wrapped both arms around Isla’s legs.
For the first time, he looked completely helpless.
Tears streamed down his face.
“Please…”
His voice trembled.
Isla froze.
Liam tightened his grip around her legs.
“Please… stop hurting yourself.”
He struggled to control his crying.
“I—I can’t take this anymore.”
Isla slowly looked down at him.
The plate in her hand remained suspended in the air.
Liam looked up at her through tear-filled eyes.
“Please, Ma’am…”
His voice broke.
“Don’t hurt yourself anymore.”
Isla didn’t move.
She simply stared at him.
Her breathing was still heavy, but the rage in her eyes had begun to fade.
For the first time that night, she seemed to notice the blood covering her hands and feet.
Upstairs, Eva and Demi had finally come out of their rooms after hearing all the noise.
They stood near the railing, looking down at the scene below.
Eva leaned toward Demi.
“Babe… look at Isla’s little servant. Why is he acting like this?”
Demi didn’t answer.
He remained completely silent.
His eyes stayed fixed on Isla and Liam.
He didn’t come downstairs.
He didn’t say a word.
He simply watched.
Downstairs, Liam was still holding onto Isla’s legs, quietly crying.
“Please…”
His voice was barely above a whisper now.
“Don’t do this to yourself anymore.”
And this time, Isla didn’t fight him.
She didn’t scream.
She didn’t throw anything.
She just stood there, staring down at him in silence.
