Lola

I could hear yelling. But why were people yelling for me. I shivered cold on the ground. I tried to open my eyes but just didn’t have the strength. What am I doing outside? I thought to my self. I could hear the voices getting louder and louder. Alex? I thought to myself. Why are you yelling at me. I’m just so tired. I just want to sleep for a long time and never wake up. “I found her!” I heard Alex yell again. Why are you screaming about me. Was I missing? Had I run off again? “Lobo pequeno? Can you hear me? Please open your eyes.” I could hear him but I just couldn’t open my eyes. “Get something to cover her with.” He ordered a random wolf. Why would I need to be covered? I mean it makes sense I am freezing. I felt my body shiver. “Ry?” I felt warmth around my body. I felt weightless. As if I were floating through the air. I could hear crying and shouting as I floated through the the air. “That’s her mommy. She h-h-helped me.” I could hear a small voice say as I floated past. Hmm that’s strange. I thought to myself. I wonder who she is talking about. “Thank you Rylieann. Thank you for saving my little girl.” I could hear louder. “Move out of my way. I have to get to the pack hospital. She is shacking like a leaf. If you wish you can come with but stay out of my way!” I am going to the hospital? I could hear more people following. I could smell now. Though the only thing I could smell was blood. My blood to be exact. That’s when it hit me. The attack. The girl. The rouge. My body. I remember falling unconscious as he ripped my clothes off and touched my body. The smell. I remember the smell. I fluttered my eyes open as we entered the hospital. “Doc!” I heard Alex yell. He looked down at me and smiled a sad smile. “Your going to be alright Rylieann.” I heard him whisper. Why was he calling my by my name? “Oh goddess. Bring her here.” I saw Healer Lola. She was Coles mom and Tom’s mate. I blinked my eyes for a long time struggling to open them again. I could hear everyone rushing around me. Putting in IV’s and talking about my blood loss. “Where did you find her?” I could hear Lola ask. “The forest. She saved the little girl out in the waiting room. She has a bite to her leg as well.” I heard Alex say. I felt the cold once again as the blanket was removed from my body. I heard the room gasp. What? What was so horrible that everyone stopped. “I’m cold.” I was able to get out. Though my voice was very dry. “You found her like this?” Everyone ignored what I said. “Yes.” I heard Alex again whisper. I tried with all my might to open my eyes and look at what was so important to everyone that they were ignoring my plea for water.  Finally my eyes obeyed me. At first my vision was blurry. I focused on the ceiling. I looked down to see what everyone was talking about and just saw bruises. All over my body. Bloody bite marks all over my body. That is when it hit me. That rouge. That disgusting creature ruined me. He r***d me. I tried to sit up to look at my lower body and saw that I had dried blood between my legs. “No.” I whispered out. That seemed to shake everyone out of their shock at the sight of me. “Rylieann!” I heard Alex say my name. I was heartbroken. I looked at him and then to Lola. She had tears running down their faces. Lola was a beautiful woman. Not as beautiful as my mother but still. She had short blonde straight hair. And the kindest blue eyes. “Cold water.” Was all I managed to say. Alex nodded his head and left my room. Lola was out of her shock and giving orders. She looked at me again this time wiping the blood and dirt off my face. “Don’t worry my love. You will heal from this. Nothing is going to change that. You are strong. You saved a little girl. You are a hero to this entire pack.” It felt like she was just speaking to keep me from drifting off. I wasn’t strong. I was weak. My father told me I never needed to learn to protect myself because I will alway be protect but he was wrong. I wasn’t angry with him though. I am sure he meant it when he said those things. Alex came running back into my room with a bottle of Fiji water. My favorite. He went to hand me the water bottle but realized I really couldn’t move my body. He opened the cap and pored the liquid gold into my mouth. “That’s enough. I need to fully assess her before he has more.” I heard Lola say. I growled at her. I just needed some damn water. “Hey Rylieann don’t you growl at the woman taking care of you.” I heard Alex scold me as I glared at Lola. He was right of course. “I’m sorry.” I choked out. She smiled at me warmly. “Alex. I need you to leave. I’m sure she doesn’t want you in here looking at her naked body any longer.” She would be right about that. Alex blushed. “Right.” He turned around to leave but then turned back and slapped his hand over his eyes. “I’ll be right outside your door. Just holler if you need anything.” I watched his back as he closed the door. I finally looked back and my body. Still bruised and bitten but clean. I watched as Lola spoke quietly to a nurse named Becky. As Lola spoke the nurse would right things down. This went on for what felt like hours. A different nurse came in and put medicine in my IV. I felt myself get sleepy. Lola gently put myself in a hospital gown. “It is best if you sleep through the first part of healing. I know you don’t want to feel your body right now go through this.” She smiled sadly at me. “Also I believe Alex is trying to get ahold of your parents or right now Tom. But I don’t think he is able to get ahold of them. But don’t worry sweetie. We will take care of you.” She smiled sadly at me again. Yeah right just like before. I thought as I drifted off to sleep.
