I was woken up by the beam of sunlight that peeked through the window blinds and penetrated my eyes. I groaned and pulled the duvet over myself slowly. My brain felt so disorganized and foggy. My throat felt so dry, and I suddenly became thirsty.
My hand flew to my face as I felt a tingling sensation in my left cheek. “What happened?” I found my weak voice saying. The last thing I remembered was that bastard slapping me for no reason.
