Matt woke up to his phone ringing, he rolled over and saw his mom number flash across the screen.
" Fu@king turn it off!" Justin grumbled in his sleep.
Matt hit the end call button, waiting for his mom to leave a message. He rolled back over and closed his eyes.
About an hour later, he felt a light kick in his side.
"Morning sunshine!" Jenny voice sounded way to high on caffeine.
"Ugg go away." Matt rolled over to his other side.
"Ok well lazy boys don't get coffee and donuts." Jenny warned.
Matt looked up at Justin, " Should we?"
" Definitely!" Justin sat up grabbing a pillow.
"Attack the coffee wench!" Justin joked.
Matt and Justin started hitting Jenny with there pillows.
"You guys are going to make me spill my coffee!" Jenny shouted, setting down her coffee, then grabbing a pillow off Justin's bed and hitting them both.
Justin grabbed Jenny by the wrist and pulled her down on his bed and started tickling her.
"Stop, stop!" Jenny was laughing so hard.
Justin hopped off his bed and helped her up.
"Now you will think twice before waking us up with your promises of coffee and pastries." Justin laughed.
"Asses both of you!" Jenny slapped Justin and Matt in the arm.
Matt noticed Justin staring Jenny with a look he could recognize as lust. He knew he had that same look when he ran into Ryder.
"I'm gonna head to the bathroom." Matt said giving Justin a thumbs up.
Matt pulled his phone out and listened to his voicemail.
"Matthew your behavior was unacceptable last night. Your brother was right we need to reconsider this silly school choice of yours. Be home tonight."
Matt weighed his options, we had a large trust fund his grandpa set up in his name, so it wasn't like he needed his parents support on this life decision.
Matt came back into the room and grabbed the coffee Jenny handed him.
"Justin filled me in on last night dinner fiasco." Jenny said sympathetically.
"My mom called me telling me they agree with Tim and to be home tonight."
"Fu*k that! Stay here till shithead goes back to school." Justin said.
Matt wasn't sure what to do, he needed to go home. He needed to shower and change and get his hiking stuff ready for Point Creek.
"So what are we doing the rest of the day? Since you both sleep the entire morning away." Jenny said, laying back on Justin's bed.
Matt felt panicked, he wasn't sure what he was going to tell them why he needed to leave really soon.
Just tell them the truth, Matt thought to himself. Matt let out a breath he knew he wasn't ready for the full truth yet so he was going have to settle for part of the truth.
" I think I just want to go on a hike today, I just need a little space, my mind is still railing from last night." Matt hoped his friends wouldn't question anything.
"You sure you don't want company?" Justin asked.
"Na, probably just hike up Point Creek." Matt took a drink of his coffee.
"Ok, well I guess that just leaves us today." Jenny said, poking Justin's ribs.
"Oh great, is it to late to fake a cold?" Justin teased while giving Jenny's hair a light pull.
"Shut it!" Jenny kicked Justin off the bed.
"Wish me luck, let's hope my brother isn't home." Matt got up and waved.
Matt pulled up in front of the house and thanked his luck that no one's vehicle was in the drive way.
Matt grabbed clean clothes and took a fast shower. He dug out his hiking boots, and backpack. Matt grabbed four cold water bottles and some granola bars.
Matt was finishing up packing his backpack when his phone pinged.
-Hey still meeting at 3?- The message from Ryder filled the screen.
Matt quickly replied.
- Yes on my way now-
Matt threw his bag in his car and drove out to Point Creek. Matt has been up this trail many times before, he use to go alot with grandpa back in elementary and middle school.
Matt spotted a worn truck up the hill and saw Ryder leaning against it. He quickly threw his car in park and reached over and grabbed his hiking backpack.
"Hey." Matt said.
"Mattie." Ryder grinned.
"So hiking, that's what your cashing your IOU in for?" Matt asked.
"Who said this my IOU." Ryder said pushing off his truck.
"Oh, ok I see how it is." Matt teased back. "So I'm still in your debt?"
"Oh absolutely." Ryder took a step closer.
Matt felt his breath catch in his throat. He felt his feet move and close more of the distance between them.
"So why then? Why ask me out?" Matt asked genuinely curious.
Ryder smiled, "Ready?" completely avoiding the question.
Matt smiled, " Ok, lead the way."
They hiked along the trail, spotted different critters along the way. After about 30 minutes they came to a open clearing, where the river ran through. Matt took in a breath, this was his favorite spot too.
"I love it here." Matt said putting his bag down walking closer to the edge of the bank.
"Me too." Ryder stood next to him.
Matt could feel Ryder arm nearly touching his. He felt the electric pull of Ryder being so close.
"So Mattie, tell me how come we haven't crossed paths much before?" Ryder voice held a seductive tone.
Matt sure in hell wasn't gonna tell him the truth, that he's been crushing on his for years.
" I guess you just never noticed me before." Matt shrugged.
"Oh I noticed you Mattie." Ryder said turning toward him.
Matt faced Ryder, he was shocked. Ryder had noticed him before. Before Matt could ask him so many questions Ryder pushed Matt into the tree behind him and his hands pulling at his waist.
Matt eyes widen, Ryder licked his bottom lip, Oh s**t he's about to kiss me Matt thought.
Ryder leaned in a brushed his lips along Matt's. Then the hunger took over and the kiss got hot and fast. Matt felt Ryder tongue graze his.
Matt felt Ryder hand going under his shirt and run along his bare chest. Matt wrapped his arms around Ryder waist and pulled him into him.
"Fu@k." Matt let out a small moan.
Ryder started unbuttoning Matt's jeans, Matt pulled back.
" What's wrong?" Ryder asked against Matt's lips.
" I...are you just wanting to hook up?" Matt trying to catch his breath.
"I thought you knew that?" Ryder seemed confused.
Matt immediately felt embarrassed. He pulled his shirt down and buttoned his jeans back, Ryder backed up just a little.
"I'm sorry Ryder I thought this was a.." Matt felt his cheeks heat up.
"Oh." Ryder breathed.
"I should go." Matt said picking up his backpack.
"Wait, hold on." Ryder ran his hand through his hair.
"It's ok, I miss-read the situation." Matt still feeling embarrassed.
Matt was disappointed, he actually really liked Ryder and he wanted more then just a one time hook up.
Matt started heading back, he heard Ryder behind him. Matt shook his head, that kiss though that was the best kiss he has ever had. He knew he would be replaying that kiss in his dreams. To bad it will be his last kiss with Ryder he thought.
Matt threw his hiking bag in his car, he heard Ryder opening his truck door.
"Wait." Ryder said slamming his door shut.
Ryder walked over to Matt standing just inches from him.
"I don't do the relationship thing." Ryder tried explaining.
Matt actually understood because he also never dated anyone longer then a few weeks. But there was something different about Ryder, that made Matt want something more then just a casual hook-up.
"You got under my skin, I haven't been able to get those blue eyes out of my mind." Ryder said closing the remaining distance between them.
Matt felt Ryder hand touching his, and it sent heat downstairs. Matt wanted to just grab him and pull him in for another mind blowing kiss.
"Ok Mattie, I want to get to know you." Ryder said, pulling Matt closer sliding his arms around his waist.
Matt took in a deep breath, was this happening. Ryder Cruz wanted more then just s*x, he actually wanted Matt as possibly a boyfriend.
Ryder pulled Matt in for another kiss, it was hungry his mouth moved fast and skilled over Matt's lips.
Matt threw his arms around Ryder and pulled his body into his. Both men keep their bodies in shape, so they both were enjoying running their hands along each other chest muscles, Ryder stood maybe an inch taller then Matt.
Matt pulled away just a little catching his breath, he knew Ryder could feel his di*k hard against his leg.
"Your gonna drive me crazy aren't you?" Ryder moaned against Matt's lips.
Matt laughed a little still wrapping his head around the fact he was standing here with Ryder entangled around him.
" So what now?" Matt asked.
"I guess now we start hanging out getting to know each other." Ryder shrugged.
Matt instantly felt a fear creep inside him. He wasn't out to anyone in his life, so he's definitely never hooked up with anyone in his town.
"So, the thing is I haven't actually told anyone that I'm.."
"Into f*****g dudes?" Ryder finished Matt's sentence.
Matt nodded, "I'm sorry."
"Don't be sorry, your ready when your ready." Ryder assured him.
"We can be on the down-low for now." Ryder said.
Matt wondered how long Ryder would be okay with hiding there relationship. Matt sighed he also didn't want to lose Ryder so quick, but he had a sinking feeling that his family would not be okay with him dating a guy.
"You hungry?" Matt asked.
"Starving." Ryder smiled, his hands still around Matt's waist.
