Chapter 3: A growing attraction

Alexander was used to being in control, both in his personal and professional life. As the CEO of his company, he had always been confident and decisive, never hesitating to make tough decisions and take risks.

But when it came to Jane, he found himself feeling a little out of control. He couldn't help the way his heart raced whenever he saw her, or the way his palms grew sweaty whenever they worked together.

He knew that he had to be careful, though. As the CEO, he had a reputation to uphold, and he couldn't risk his position or the reputation of his company by getting too involved with one of his employees.

Still, he couldn't help feeling drawn to Jane. He was impressed by her intelligence, her work ethic, and her beauty. He admired the way she handled herself in meetings and the way she always seemed to be one step ahead of everyone else.

Despite his reservations, Alexander found himself looking for opportunities to spend time with Jane. He would invite her to work on projects with him or ask her to join him for lunch, always careful to keep things professional.

But no matter how much he tried to keep his feelings hidden, Alexander found himself blushing and stammering whenever he talked to Jane. He couldn't believe how much he had come to care about her in such a short amount of time.

One day, as they were working on a project together, Alexander found himself admiring Jane's beauty. He couldn't help noticing the way her hair fell in soft waves around her face or the way her eyes sparkled when she laughed.

He wanted to tell her how he felt, but he knew that he couldn't risk their professional relationship. So he tried to keep his feelings hidden, even as his heart raced whenever he saw her.

As they finished up their work for the day, Alexander couldn't help stealing glances at Jane. He knew that he was falling for her, but he didn't know if she felt the same way.

It wasn't until a few days later that Alexander got the opportunity to find out. He and Jane were working late in the office, trying to finish up a project before a deadline, when she turned to him and smiled.

"Alexander," she said, her voice soft. "Can I ask you something?"

"Sure," he said, feeling a surge of nervousness.

Jane took a deep breath. "I've been thinking about you a lot lately," she said. "And I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me again sometime."

Alexander felt his heart skip a beat. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. Could it be that Jane felt the same way he did?

"Of course," he said, trying to keep his voice steady. "I'd love to go out with you again."

Jane smiled, and Alexander felt a surge of happiness. He couldn't wait to see where their relationship might lead, but he knew that he had to be careful. As the CEO, he had a lot to lose, but he was willing to take the risk for the chance to be with Jane.

As they finished up their work for the night, Alexander couldn't help feeling a little giddy. He knew that their relationship would be complicated, but he was willing to do whatever it took to make it work.
