Rendezvous ( 2)

Samantha saw a handsome young man that stood out of the crowd walking into a night club , during the last two opening hours , early on a Saturday morning 2019. The male came across as handsome , intelligent with an aura that seemed breathtaking.

As the unknown male stood at the bar with his 3 friends Samantha looked at him from a side table from the opposite direction and felt a chemistry that she had never felt before, instantly feeling that they belonged, a welcoming aura. Being disappointed of the night as her female friend Diana did not show up as planned, but meeting this attractive young man surely made a turn of the nights' events, but with limited time on her hands she somehow had to capture his attention to the extent that he would keep in contact with her.

As Samantha scraped her courage together to approached the table where the unknown young man and friends sat , while the fine music tunes played she felt cheerful as she consumed a few ciders the previous few hours. As the fine tuned jazz music played , she approached the unknown male and they started dancing energetically on the dance floor. Samantha felt at the beat of every tune the DJ played that her heart was pounding faster and faster and energetically he swung her on the dance floor they both started laughing and gazing at each other.

He invited her to sit at the same table next to him , and this time when she gazed into his face , he came across as a professor with glasses, sharp features and spoke bluntly , but with a manly voice, so in control. She asked him his name and he responded by saying his name was Juan. He then asked again whether someone wanted to dance and this time Samantha referred him to her friend as she did not want to come across as needy too instantaneously.

Feeling passionate, she later asked him if he would accompany her home, but he turned cold and it came across that he looked at her rather disgusted.

At the end of the night she requested for his number which he gave , told her to sit at the back inside the vehicle, while she requested for an uber to drop her at home. As he drove away she gazed at his vehicle disappearing in the distance, leaving a good memory behind.

A night that turned from a disappointment into a fairy tale for Samantha, not knowing whether the friendship will last or whether it was just an acquaintance that she had met for the night, merely as entertainment. Since that day Samantha kept on wondering mysteriously about the whereabouts of the well groomed and well built Juan, that left a footprint in her heart and puzzle to solve in her mind. As time went on Samantha started communicating with Juan and was so excited and passionate about her new friendship that she wanted to speak to him every day. Having numerous conversations Juan told Samantha that he was single and this gave her even more hope.

Conversations between the two started off on a formal basis , as Juan pretty much responded to all topics that Samantha discussed.

Conversations between the two started off on a formal basis , as Juan pretty much responded to all topics that Samantha discussed and he seemed so alluring and it seemed that he had vast knowledge on every topic that was raised and was very much interested in Samantha , at least so it seemed and also suggested as per various discussions. The more Samantha slowly got drawn into the enchantment of the possibility of a lifetime friendship , little to almost did she forget that within the next few days she had to mentally prepare herself, as much as she felt attracted to Juan , she had to prepare herself to leave the country for working purposes. Everyday she started wondering why she did not meet Juan earlier , whilst being in Cape Town on vacation, but was determined to maintain the friendship.

By the time Samantha was at Cape Town International airport to leave for the USA she felt emotionally crumbled as she wished that she could see Juan for the last time, however the only response she got from Juan , by means of a text message was that she should keep in touch and travel safely. This action kept Samantha wondering whether Juan was really interested in her , or perhaps it was just a fling that lasted for 2 hours. Trying to be focused  and balanced abroad at work , Samantha always made time to message Juan and this communication lasted for about 6 months between them, with Juan and Samantha always uplifting each other positively, and finding out more about each other , however Samantha noticed that Juan divulged very little information about himself and this always kept her intrigued.

As days had gone by Samantha got very fond of Juan and realized that sometimes he would respond warmly and other times he would come across as distant and cold. One thing was certain that Juan was extremely diplomatic in the way he handled things and knew exactly how to accommodate the emotional needs of Samantha , which left her craving for even more attention, but she soon realized that she had to  be balanced, and she started attending meditation lessons, knowing that she has to ensure, irrespective where the friendship leads that her spiritual core values remained strong. 

As time passed by Juan and Samantha's' friendship seemed inseparable the closer time came for Samantha to go back home to Cape Town. The adventures and breathtaking views that Samantha experienced abroad ended up in her exploring places such as Eifel Tower ( Paris ), NASA ( National Aeronautics and Space Administration Centre, New York City, Massachusetts and Southampton places that Samantha only dreamt about and at times she wished that her grandparents were still alive , as they raised her so that they could experience the remarkable blessings with her. 

Samantha started fantasizing about the romantic gatherings , such as diner by candle light , provincial sight seeing excursions she would share with Juan as soon as she got home and recuperated. Excitedly she boarded her flight to Cape Town and as she landed the following day she was exhausted , yet so excited as she was going to be home for the next 3 and a half months , hopefully meeting Juan again. 

Samantha rested for about two weeks , went to visit her family and brought them gifts as tokens of appreciation, as sentimental value of places. Family members were so happy to see her but she often visited them at intervals of two and a half weeks, as they experienced a family tragedy where her aunt , Rose suffered a severe stroke and was in hospital , she lost her speech , walking capability and often had appointments with physiotherapist and nutritionist. Samantha found it hard to see her aunt , being a strong and spiritual woman , in such a condition but knew that she had to support her in every single way, as she had 4 young boys, looking up to Samantha for guidance, but faith and the friendship of Juan kept her going each and every day.

Finally , Rose was released to go home , such a relief to strengthen amongst family members but Samantha realized that much patience and support would be needed from everyone. Work colleagues often visited and sent messages that was comforting for Rose.

Samantha residing in the Northern Suburbs and her family in the Southern Suburbs felt that she needed a break , thus contacted Juan for a gathering as she had only seen him in the dark , at a pub in the night , prior to leaving the country before. Juan told her that he was not sure if he could attend as his work schedule was demanding and after a couple of days suggested that they should go on a camp, but some information provided seemed rather a bit off putting to Samantha at first, however she was eager to meet him.

The camp was at a camp out spot in Jonkershoek and it was the first time Samantha went on a camp as she's normally a person that went to glamorous seven star hotels. The trip to Jonkershoek was arranged with 2 male friends accompanying Samantha and it was a relaxing drive with nice scenery. 

Prior to reaching the destination Juan contacted Samantha to ascertain whether she was still on the way and had sent her multiple voice messages. Upon reaching Samantha realized that it was quite a groovy sensation at the camping site as there were more than 1000 campers on this yearly event with multiple DJs from all over the world. 

Juan voice messaged Samantha and told her that she should provide him with a location so that he could come over and walking half  way to the location, Juan was with a female and he introduced her to Samantha as his best friend.

They walked to the camping spot of Samantha that was right next to the beach and there they sat sipping on ciders and chatting as to events that happened over the past few months where they held communication, with Juan and Samantha staring at each other. Juan then showed Samantha where they camped and Samantha spent some time there , while the female friend of Juan , named Madre left and went alone to the main arena. 

Samantha was so impressed and felt so drawn to Juan that he ended up holding her hand but later got up and went sleeping in his classy vehicle , parked next to his tent as he gave her his jacket as she got cold. She then took a slow walk back to her camping spot. Samantha was so excited that she got up early the next morning, refreshing herself and by mid day she went up looking for Juan where he was on his way down to the beach with friends, but as soon as he saw Samantha he told her that he would go and sit with her . 

They met some other campers and as Juan was introduced to her two friends the previous night and he started showing more interest in her by asking her multiple questions. Samantha felt like she had just hit the jackpot and was hopelessly falling in love with Juan and even hugged him as they were walking and talking , it surely felt as if they knew each other for centuries or maybe in a past life.

As time passed by Samantha started day dreaming that it would last forever but knew that the weekend would soon come to an end . Juan suggested that they could take an afternoon nap and then meet up later during the night. Later that evening, Samantha went to the DJ area and found her two friends enjoying themselves and also met Juan with his friend Madre. Everyone ended up dancing to the fine tunes of different DJs and then went down to Samantha's camping area where they met other people and had long conversation , noticing slightly that Juan did not want to go alone on walks with her but suggested that things should be done in group formation.

As the night went it was fun, warm next to the fire and Juan asked for a blanket from Samantha and she covered his upper body, he seemed pleased with her warm personality. The chat and laughter went on for the rest of the night until the early morning hours at 7am , then Samantha took Juan half way and watched him as he walked away. He told Samantha that he would leave early on Sunday morning and by the time Samantha left and went looking for Juan he was already gone with his friends.

As the next week passed by Samantha came to find out that Juan was a billionaire, the owner of prestigious property company and the owner of a few villas, information that he had never told her and she found out during further conversations. She thought the perfect guy, so powerful , yet so humble .She imagined having romantic dinner by candle light with him, but surprisingly he never invited her , only when she suggested and arranged a gathering at an exquisite hotel , then only Juan mentioned that he might come and stated that he was not sure yet. When the day came Juan came, dressed in n elegant shirt and trousers looking so exquisite and then for the first time when she hugged and looked up at him during the day light then she realized that he had green eyes that she never had seen before as she always met him in the dark and did not notice. 

Even this time , Samantha could now see the well built chest of Juan and it seemed as if she stared right through his clothing, but having a few friends over she had to divide her attention and had to get up early that morning to prepare the meal for the coming guest of honor and his friends. The venue was exquisite , a double storey with a balcony and an entertainment area. Juan sat right opposite Samantha and was staring at her waiting for the conversation to start, yet this time it felt like Juan was staring right through the soul of Samantha. 

A conversation emerged by starting to chat with everyone as it seemed as the friend that accompanied Samantha suddenly wanted more attention and Juan made it clear that Samantha was his friend and he knew her for a while and that no one would jeopardize it. This was a surprise as Juan previously came across as a person that did not speak much, or rather someone that just went with the flow.  

Entwining and complimenting each others ideas that was pretty much how the day passed by and Juan stayed until 7 am the next morning, leaving Samantha hungry craving for him even more, like a d**g dose she had to be fixed with every day, leaving her feeling so high, a feeling that she has not felt in a while.

Each and every day that passed the idea of establishing  a long term friendship with Juan became like a story Samantha intended on weaving with Juan, wishing she knew how he felt about the friendship but he never uttered a word and Samantha seemed that she was carrying a heart on her sleeve as she was always expressing how she felt emotionally.

The next few months Juan had shown interest in the possibility of touring abroad with the future prospect of securing business transactions abroad, whenever Samantha had seen Juan during the night and when it was about time for sunrise Juan always made an excuse and disappeared for a moment and upon his return he seemed so different , yet Samantha could not exactly point out what it was. Whenever friends accompanied him, they always seemed to have an excuse when he disappeared or when he returned and his appearance or personality seemed strange. At a certain point Juan came across as completely disorientated, sweaty and portrayed a different persona. 

Juan also always had a way of justifying his actions and Samantha thought that she was merely imagining herself, yet she had a gut feeling that something was not in place. The bitter sweet taste and back and forth push and pull of Juan's actions kept Samantha intrigued and she always knew that she needed to have patience as time would tell. She even on quite a few occasions offered accommodation for Juan where he could overnight but he always resisted , disappeared and seemed to be on the edge around her at times. 

Little was Juan aware that even though Samantha did not question much, she was always picking up on the emotional vibes of those around her, but when it came to his emotions , she always picked up a numb or a mixed emotional feeling that left her confused, at least for the first couple of times.

Juan started visiting Samantha at her home occasionally and she always made the vibration as warm and homely as possible with a nicely cooked home meal and Juan always seemed to have good ideas around business plans and growth, something that Samantha was looking forward to for future growth as it seemed Juan had every plan in place to guide her into the light of one day being a successful business owner. 

Suddenly while being at home one day Samantha got an idea of involving Juan into one of her future  business projects. For Samantha having a passion for whatever she deemed as a prosperous project that came to mind, it seemed like a golden opportunity to get close to Juan and to get to know him more as she had so many questions but did not want to be too impulsive to ask questions around him as she wanted to portray the image of being diplomatic and subtle.
