Chapter 7 Going back

Upon reaching the dorm, Alpheus let go of Dame and open the door without uttering a word. He just motioned her to get out from the car. Dame silently follow the mans order.

"What an arrogant bastard!",she thought to herserf.

When her feet land on the ground she hurriedly took a few steps forward then suddenly stop and she slowly turned back her gaze to the man, only to catch him staring at her intently. His emotions are unreadable

Embarrassed, she turned arround and run to the dorm. She hurriedly went to her private elevator and head to the penthouse.

She throws herself on the bed upon reaching her room.

The event that took place on the car kept playing on her mind and she could'nt help but felt her cheek is burning from embarrassment!

She never allowed any man to come closer to her except Xander. She didn't know why, but everytime she was with Xander she felt comfortably relaxed. No romantic feelings involved just a pure friendly connection. She was not just sure if Xander's feelings is the same with her. Sometimes he throws read between the lines gesture towards her that she only regard as friendly approach. Eventhough her heart tells it's far from only being friendly.

Thinking about Xander makes her missed him!

Since she was living here in the human town, her father, always scan the people she interact with especially since she turned teen. Her Alpha father turned into an overprotective paranoid dad! However, he never questioned her closeness with Xander. And she was glad about it that she never asked why to him, afraid he might changed his mind!

But then, again her thought found it's way back to the man in the car and her vision of the past.

Is her past connected with him?!

With this thought, Dame drifted to sleep.

Morning comes and her day was back to normal. Going to school and going back to the dorm penthouse. Not long after, exams were finished and the school year ended.

Dame was restless. She was so lonely. She can't think of anything to spend her time. Or she refused to think is the right word. She was not in the mood to train. Her body seems heavy and her wolf Arana seems quiter this past few days. Her eighteenth birthday is approaching, but it seems like her family forget about it. The loneliness is killing her, and tears starts to fall flooding her pretty face. A faint sob suddenly filled the room.

"Love me like you do-" her ring tone suddenly rang!

She calm her emotions and look at her phone. Knowing the caller, she smile a little and wipe her tears before answering!

'It's been a while Tendra", she said emotionless.

"Hello to you too, princess!", Tendra excitedly greet her."The Alpha requested me to inform you sweetie that be ready because you will going back to the pack. My husband together with the elite warriors will fetch you in an hour!",Tendra informed .

"Why can't dad or brother fetch me instead?Don't they missed me?," Dame answered sadly.

"Ow sweetie you know my husband ! He is your Godfather but act more like he is your dad! He missed you so much that he volountered to fetch you.", Tendra said.

"You did not answer my question Tendra", Dame insist.

"They loved and missed you so much princess! It's just that, you are too special that our effort to secure your safety seems to hurt you. But believe me, they loved you. We all do.", Tendra convinced her once more.

"If you say so.",Dame muttered. She sigh and keep quite but never hung up. On the other side Tendra also keep quite but never hung up as well. "It feels good to hear your voice Tendra, and I missed you too. All of you!", Dame said and ended the call.

True to Tendra's words, after an hour, a limo and three SUVs parked infront of the dorm. They are here. Dame take a look at herself in the mirror. She is wearing a loose sweatshirt and leggings paired with white sneakers, her hair in high ponytail and no make up.Hurriedly she carried her backpack and small overnight bag and went down to meet them.

The warrior bow their heads without uttering a word upon seeing her.

"It's good to see you again, princess. When did you grow this big and gorgeous?!", her Uncle/ Godfather/ Beta greet her.

She smile and throws herself in his arms engulfing her in a fatherly warm hug.

"It's almost eight years, Uncle when I was outcast from the pack", Dame sadly said.

"In the right time princess, you will understand", his reply. And they started the journey going back to the Golden Moon Pack.

After travelling for five hours, with eating snacks and taking a nap in between, the familiar scenery comes to life. They will about to pass the intersection. After passing the intersections they will be entering their packs territory. However the pack border is still an hour drive away. This is one of her father's strategy to confused the attackers about their packs geographical locations.

The traffic lights signalled stop, so their convoy take a halt.

Dame felt her chest tighten, tears are about to fall. She was forcefully taken away from this paradise she called home!

She felt her Beta/Godfather hold her hand and he said,"Welcome home princess!".

Dame can't hold herself anymore! She burst into tears and hug her Godfather. He hug her in return and patted her back lovingly and let her release her emotions. After a while, Dame composed herself and she said, " Thank you Uncle, for everything".

The old man smile and release her from his embrace. He knows what Dame is talking about.

Dame look at the scenery and felt the need to smell the fresh air. Without asking for permission , she open the car window beside her, closed her eyes and inhale the mountain air. It felt so good that she continue filling her lungs with it. ..

She was so engrossed for what she was doing, when suddenly the ground shook!

And a loud roar was heard from the opposite side of the road!

Dame snap her head to that direction and saw a royal limo where a man is about to come out, but suddenly her uncle pull her away and abruptly close her windshield!

The traffic lights changed color and their driver speeds up driving!

"Detour!",Uncle Beta barked to the driver.
