10 DAYS BEFORE THE ECLIPSE
The room was chilled and dark as Logan slowly poured another drink. On a couch sat Anders and stared at his own drink with a frown on his face. Logan had only invited Anders to this meeting, he hadn’t dared to invite anyone else, and at this moment he was glad he hadn’t.
“Logan, did you hear me?”
Logan looked towards the desk from which the voice had come from.
“I heard you.”
“And?”
Logan took a big sip of his drink as he looked at the ground. His breathing had gotten deeper and faster as the information sunk in.
“And I’m processing.”
Logan shot Anders a look, but the older man just leaned back on the couch without changing the expression on his face. Logan then redirected his eyes to the desk as the person behind it spoke once more.
“There is no other way. This entity’s life is dependent on the supernatural. You need to cut off that supernatural force to kill it. We’ve already discussed this a year and a half ago, nothing has changed.”
Logan swung back the last of his drink in one big gulp before he answered with a deep and somewhat darkened voice.
“Everything has changed.”
