Mike hissed in warning.

She glared at him for a moment, seething within, the she turned angrily and walked away, mumbling under her breath. After watching her disappear from sight, Ahmad who had been quiet all through the exchange of words finally said to Mikel. "But let's be honest boss, you know that we need Sandra. She plays a lot of roles that makes this business more successful. She has connection high places and tries her best to get the police off our back"

"Yes i know" Mikel answered, obviously displeased by what has happened. "But for the six weeks she's beginning to go off the rail and i can't have that" Mike answered, pulling out a packet of cigarettes and sticking a cigarette between his lips.

Ahmad held out a lighter and helped him light it as he replied. "I think she's just acting out and you alone can bring her back around" he put the lighter back into his pocket. "In as much as you try to play ignorant to why she's been acting up, I'm sure you know that you are the cause"

What do you mean?" Mikel asked as he expelled a cloud of smoke through his lips and nostrils. Holding the cigarette between his fingers and pulling it away from his lips as he gave his second in command a questioning look.

Ahmad gave a knowing smile. "Sorry to pry boss, but i thought you two had a thing"

"A thing? Pfft!" Mikel looked away, dragging off his cigarette. "That was just nothing but a fling since she wouldn't stop trying to seduce me"

"A fling that took place five times?" Ahmad gave a wry smile.

"All initiated by her" Mikel said in defense. "We both know that Sandra will stop at nothing until she gets what she wants. I've never met a woman as persistent as she is "

"Has it ever occurred to you that perhaps she expected more?"

Mikel threw a quick glance at him and replied. "Ahmad even doesn't am interested in having anything with a woman for now. Sandra us not my woman, she's too wild and nothing close to being intelligent. Fine, i admit that she's quite smart in this game and knows her onions, but nah......." He slowly shook his head as he looked at the distance hill. "She's certainly not my type......beside, the last thing that this kind of business needs is the involvement of emotion. I'm not in on any lovey-dovey-s**t right now and never will be. I've got better things to do that fall in love with any one. Soon, she will be asking me to take her to the alter, hell no! Am never going to mix business with pleasure, no sane man should do that"

"So, you agree that you clearly know why she's been acting up then . she definitely wants more like every other woman would and i don't blame her for that." Ahmad shrugged. "Women are emotional, once you starts f*****g them, they want to keep you as theirs".

"Yes she told me" Mike said. " she told me that she would like to settle down. Have a family of her own and live a normal life".

"And what did you tell her?" Ahmad asked.

"That i wasn't interested in such or having anything emotional With anyone. I told her that am too invested in this business and has no room to invest any emotion for woman. And ever since then, she hates sight of me. She has been deliberately doing some stupid things to annoy me. Today was just one of them"

"Why not get give her what she wants so that we call all be a peaceful team again?" Ahmad suggested. "I mean, she's beautiful, , fun to be with, and is good to what she does, what more could you want?"

"If that was all a man could need, why not marry her then? " Mikel stated, leaned away from the tree and walked away while Ahmad watched him go without uttering another word.

When Mikel finally disappeared out of sight, Ahmad heaven a deep sigh and walked to the private coverage where the network was good to make call to his wife whom he calls every three days to ask about her welfare and the kids. Though his wife had no idea what kind of business he was into and he decide to keep that away. What matters was that the living a good life from the money he was making

In fact, he had an intention of taking his Family on a vacation to Dubai once they were done with this particular operation but he would had to wait a day or more. He was dying to be with his wife and his kids, . he hadn't seen them for four months now and his looking forward seeing them again. When he was done with the call, he decided to go check on how the guys were handling the new hostages.
