A beautiful Friday

Iceland, 25 years later. On a beautiful Friday morning, A young man could be seen in front of a whiteboard in a bright themed colorful class. The atmosphere was satisfying because of the cross ventilation from the large windows that exposed the beauty of an enormous field covered in a very greenish grass carpet and a few countable trees by the side of the class. His attention was precisely on the list of elements he was writing in green ink under a bold and big heading written in a red whiteboard marker spelled as, "Colloids." but his strong sense of hearing was drawn to his students, as he monitored their activities even with his back on them. "Chloe, you've got to stop troubling Dylan," He acknowledged without looking away from the list he was writing on the board. The 10-year-old brunette that had a very mean but cute face bulged her eyes out as her right hand stood still on top of the boy she was bullying, Dylan who happened to be sitting next to her. "Yes you heard me," He warned before he shook his head as he turned around now facing the class, making Chloe withdraw her hand immediately. His back was on her, how did he ever guess her deeds towards Dylan, she stressed her little head while staring at her desk with a little pout on her face before turning to give Dylan a mean look. By now the class that consisted of about 20 children all in the range of 8-10 years had begun to laugh while some giggled slightly. The boys were dressed in dark blue tunics, white shirts, a sea blue sweater, a necktie, long white socks, and black sandals. The girls were dressed in knee-length gowns that were the same color as the boy's tunics, long white stockings, a sea blue sweater, a dark blue necktie, and black sandals too. Chloe and Dylan were like fire and water. They could not be together at the same place, but in their case, you could say one was molten lava spreading across a stagnant water body. Dylan would refuse to change seats and Chloe would continue to bully him randomly by writing nonsense on his books or hitting his arm, and Dylan would just huff. That characteristic huff of Dylan was what the tall young teacher had observed with his overly sensitive ears and knew Chloe had started to trouble him even if they were seated at the back of the class. "Mr. Leonardo, I didn't even do anything," Chloe muttered audibly, making the class laugh one more time while the teacher put his both arms on the table that was right before him and his board, to support his frame firmly on the table as he looked up to his students. "Dylan, just know you are always welcomed to change your seat anytime," Mr. Leonardo encouraged after slightly nodding his head as he stared at the duo at the back of his class, making the rest of the kids giggle again. "Alright! " Mr. Leonardo started. "Anyone wants to keep learning about different kinds of substances we have and what substances might fall under colloids?" He asked with a really broad smile on his face while he held his left hand above his head as his eyes roamed through his students that had inquisitive smiles on their faces. Apart from his smile being contagious, his students adored him for he was very charming, sweet, and also a natural heroic soul. He'd laugh and play with them and somehow made sure he had some sort of personal connection with every one of them to be able to teach them better. "Yes, Mister!!!" They blurted out excitedly, making him stare at them lovingly before he continued with what he was about to teach them. Soon his classes for the day were over and he sat at his desk while he massaged his forehead as he went through the to-do list he had scheduled for the day. So far he had 50 percent of his task done and there was another roughly 50 percent that he needed to carry out outside the school. He had to get some more knitting wools for his mother and a few seeds for her garden too. Get some more dog food for his husky, and some more books for his mini-library in his room. He had no extra tasks to do in school today so he was going to be able to leave early. He raised his head to meet a male kid staring at his desk. How didn't he notice a soul together with him all this while? He checked on his wrist watch and it read 3:05. School had ended roughly 2 hours ago, why was this student still in school? He coupled his side bag before bolting towards the boy he had recognized well, Biden. Biden was a very silent but bright kid. He didn't have any friends as he played less than most kids and was very reserved. "Hi there," He squatted to Biden's height before ruffling the boy's brown hair. "What's wrong?" He asked softly in his husky voice and Biden had already begun to squeeze his face, he was going to cry. "Hey, don't cry, Let's get you home. " He persuaded as a billion thoughts crossed his mind. Why had no one come to pick Biden up? Blue whale Elementary school was one of the biggest and most expensive in the town of Iceland, a big town surrounded by water. It was attended by kids of the most prominent and well-known people in the town. Situations like this were not common as most kids were attached to their maids who would come to pick them up in time. Mr. Leonardo carried Biden who immediately wrapped his hands around his neck, while he sniffed with his school bag hung on his back. Hanging his side bag on his arm, he takes a look at the class one more time hoping they were the last souls exiting the class. On his way to the principal's office to acquire Biden's information, a very young lady dressed in jeans and a floral-patterned dress approached Mr. Leonardo who was not able to take his eyes off the redhead lady that was now in front of him. "Elias," She smiled hopping on her toes playfully before she half hugged him. By now a very tired Biden was half asleep. "Trish," He called back trying to keep a straight face but failed. He had started dating her about 2 weeks ago but her beauty was still intimidating to him to the extent he'd try not to act fake or stupid in front of her. But his body would fail woefully. Now he was smiling at her, as they continued to strode through the colorful hallways that were designed with cartoon features while she held his big palm. "What happened?" She asked softly, pulling out a puppy and sympathetic face after pulling his hand down a bit. "He got left behind," He answered shortly, and now Trish understood they were reporting towards the principal's office. She is not even it! A voice cautioned him about Trish making him huff in disappointment. Just f*****g shut up! An alter replied in his head making him mentally smile and nod. Now, there we go again. He mentally scolded himself. By now, the trio was already right in front of the principal's office. A call was made to Biden's mother from the principal's office while Trish waited outside. Biden's information showed that his only parent was a Single mother who worked as a federal prosecutor. She usually comes to pick Biden herself, but seems she got caught up in some sort of case. Her office number rang again and again but there was no answer. The air was a bit tense now but the principal decided to give one more phone call to her office number before he tried her line. It rang a few times before it was picked, "Hello," a voice stammered through. "I am George Matthew, the principal of Bluewhale Elementary school," He started as he felt unstable breathing at the other end of the line which would gasp from time to time, making him wonder if everything was okay on the other side. "Ma'am, are you there?" He asked, confused. "Tell Biden, I love him," the feminine voice struggled to speak while the Principal visibly panicked as he bolted up from his seat. "What!" The Principal took the phone away from his ears as he stared at it before returning it to his ears again. "Ma'am, are you okay? Can we assist you with any help? Are you in any kind of danger?!" The principal continued, his tone audibly suggesting worry and fear. Elias and Biden were now on their feet, as the principal stared at his employee and then the little kid in his office before focussing fully on the call. "End her!" A very deep hoarse voice commanded at the other side of the line, before the principal could gather what was happening on the other side, a sound of a gunshot made everything clear and the call disconnected immediately. Shakily the principal turned and looked at Elias who seemed to have heard everything, "Mr. Leonardo, we have a problem."
