I know Nate had something awful to say again. I can see the sadness on Lyra's face. However, I am not going to interfere now. Maybe she is still in love with him. Why does that thought upset me? I do not want Lyra to even think about Nate! Why? I am not going to break my head over it. I am her friend, and I do not want to see her get hurt again. I am overthinking everything. Lyra is like a sister to me, and I want to protect her. I am sure that is all. She does have a brother who can protect her. She does not need me. I know that, but I cannot help but feel protective of her.
