Two days later, I was back on my feet literally. The clinic bed had started to feel like a coffin, so I told the nurse I was fine and escaped before she could chain me to it again.
Now here I was walking down Moonstone Academy is long echoing hallway pretending everything was normal.
Except it wasn’t.
Lucian hadn’t been lying or exaggerating when he said this place was going to be hell. Every pair of eyes that trailed me screamed it. The whispers that followed me from one corridor to another didn’t even try to be subtle anymore.
“Oh, she finally survived?”
“Can you believe she is wolfless and still dares to come here?”
“I heard she was trouble back home. Bet her pack sent her here just to get rid of her.”
