35 Richie sat alone at the bar at Big Caesar’s. He tried talking to people; he tried playing the host, but his heart wasn’t in it. A number of people walked over to him from time to time to talk to him, but they soon realized—even if he said nothing unfriendly—that their company wasn’t wanted that night. And, he thought, why should it be? It was Saturday night, after all.
