6 Bee dragged Sage and me across the courtyard toward the right-hand path. I looked over my shoulder. A soft smile shone of Caius’ face before he followed us. The new trail was less than half the width of the main thoroughfare. The buildings on either side of us were small administrative centers of thick walls and chiseled false fronts. The closing of the library had signaled the closing of the offices and so the windows were dark.
