Hans had been released from prison for a few weeks and was attempting to readjust to society. The neighbors had been distant since he came back, I would see how they would give him looks of disgust when he went outside. Heinrich had not warmed up to his father, he would cry hysterically if Hans tried touching him I dismissed it as normal behavior for our son. Heinrich often had breakdowns if he was upset just like any other toddler. Hans was stressed, no one would hire a former Nazi and he also refused to work for a place owned by Jews blaming them for ruining his life.
