I had no idea I had snoozed for almost twelve hours, not until I heard a continuous knock on the main door and even on my window. The doorbell was non-stop chiming, that I jolted up in alarm. I looked at the bedside clock with a fully awake body and saw it was already midnight.
“s**t,” I said before hearing voices calling my name. I slowly got up and carefully stood up. For a great reason, I felt refreshed and restored. “Coming!!!!” I shouted after hearing the calls again. I marched towards the door and looked at the peephole. My eyes gaped as I saw my uncle Fred and Aunt Alicia with some of their men behind them. “s**t!”
I opened the door and welcomed them with a smile. My aunt Alicia greeted me with a hug. “Mia, darling! You worried us!” she panicky said while embracing me.
