I was busy cooking our dinner when I heard my phone buzzed inside my apron. I checked it and saw Charlene’s name on the screen. The lady and I had already caught up with so many topics the last weekend she visited us while Max was away for a business trip.
We missed talking that we hung out all day while looking after the toddlers. She even showed me the nursery stuff she bought online. The lady got so excited she didn’t wait for Max to come home so they could choose the baby cribs he would be assembling. As far as I knew, the two were civil about their relationship, although they weren't mended yet.
