Chapter 5- Fate sealed

2136 Words
Mia I was like a robot being dragged out of the scene. The guy named Theon just saved me from Mr. Polanski. Theon promised he would double my price, but that didn’t change a thing, although I knew it would really help my sister. I still sold myself to another monster. Gorgeous monster, I just hoped Theon was true to his words. “Where are we going?” I asked him as we joined the crowd full of people grooving and partying. “Just follow me,” he sternly replied. Although his grip was tight, it was gentle. We dodged the crowd and went upstairs, and then we walked into another dimmed hall. Theon then looked up to see the room number before opening it, “Here comes the birthday boy!” a man in a dark coat announced, ‘So today is his birthday,’ I inwardly thought, lucky him. “Hey! Happy birthday man!” about ten men greeted Theon and moved towards us. Theon was still clutching my hand as he approached his friends and introduced me to them. I would admit, his friends were handsome and looked having the best of their lives. What I didn’t like was Red. His eyes never left me, and I felt a bit uneasy about how he acted. The rest of them walked towards us, shaking our hands and greeting us. My mouth went numb, smiling and beaming at those strangers I’d for sure forget the name the next day. They seemed so lovely, though. I couldn’t remember the rest of their names since they all almost looked the same, handsome and sophisticated men that probably belonged to a noble and high-class society. “Come,” Theon whispered, then he brought me to the private bar that was prepared just for them. “What did you want?” he asked me. “Orange juice,” I calmly replied, Theon chuckled, “it's my birthday, honey, you can have anything you want,” he cheerily told me, I smiled at him, “I… I… don’t know what’s happening, I mean… you just took me away from Mr. Polanski, and now I’m here. I mean, what was the deal with this?” I questioned him in one go, Theon’s smile faded, then he nudged his head towards my ears. “I’m true to my promise. Just be my girl tonight,” he whispered in his sexy voice, sending shivers on my spine. I just nodded. I believed Theon and somehow trusted his words. Theon leaned back. “How about let’s start with this…” he then asked the bartender four shots of tequila. My eyes gaped upon hearing his request. I was skeptical about him ordering me alcoholic drinks, but I guess it was part of his payment to me, and It was perhaps my job now to accept it. A while later, four small shots of drink were served to us. Two each of us. “Cheers!” Theon clunked his shot glass to mine. I drank the shots right after the other before sipping the salt and lime. “Ugh!” My face grimaced in disgust as the alcoholic drink shortly burned my throat. “Here, take this….” Theon offered me a bottle of water. I took it and drank it, silently hoping it would sober me up quickly from those shots. I don’t drink much heavy stuff, and about three to five shots get on me quickly. The next moments were dazed. I remembered going and approaching the three girls on the table with Theon. “Hey, ladies, this is my girl Mia. Please occupy her as I hang out with the guys,” he said, squeezing my shoulder before walking away. Theon left me just like that and talked with his boys Without looking back at me. “Hi! You’re Mia, right?” the blonde woman in skimpy white clothes, “I’m Mariette, Chester’s wife,” she added, offering her hands. I shook it and took the empty seat next to her. “Hi! Mariette, I’m sorry, I’m a little tipsy,” I bluntly informed them, blaming the two shots I just had with Theon. The girls chuckled, “Oh, we know! that’s why we were having cocktails. You better get one,” the brown wavy hair woman said nicely. “Oh, by the way, I’m Kirsten,” she offered her hand. I took it and shook it. I saw her waving at the bartender to give us some cocktails. “Hi, I’m Sophie!” the pretty Asian-looking lady dressed in a floral jumpsuit. “Hello, It’s so nice to meet you ladies,” I genuinely greeted. “You looked familiar?” Sophie asked me, “Have you been on a runway or something?” “Oh, no. Not close, I mean, but I do small cameo roles on television. Maybe that was why..” I sheepishly said, “Oh, wait,” Marietta said, looking at me, “Were you at one of the series in television? The crime passion?” she excitedly asked. “I was there for several episodes for reenactment,” I admitted, smiling. “Oh, damn! That was you?” Kirsten checked. Nodding, “Mostly in some terrible scenes, though.” I kiddingly replied, “I agree!” Kirsten said, “I’m actually doing small acts too in theater, and I was once offered to do some television scene, and I found it hard! I can feel you, girl!” she added, smiling at me. “Well, that was only when we were understaffed, and the casting department needed extra hands. I work in a wardrobe department and assisting in make-ups Ava entertainment.” I proudly declared. Ava was one of the biggest and well-known entertainment companies in the city. “Ohhh, wow! That is a big network! Theon’s aunt owns it!” Kirsten elatedly stated. “Oh, really? I didn’t know?” Mariette said, looking amazed at Kirsten's information. “I kind of knew it, and her name is big in the fashion industry,” Sophie butted in. Mariette smirked, looking at me. “Well, since you are dating Theon, make most of it, girl. Maybe you could end a role, I mean, not because of him but I saw quite of your acting, and I found it really good, you have a talent, woman!” she seemed earnestly told me, “No, I mean I’m happy with small roles, and if I ever wanted to be a part of the crew, I’ll do behind the camera,” I honestly declared. Being a producer or doing scripts was one of my goals in the industry, yet then I knew I had so much to learn, and it wouldn't be an easy journey for me. “Yeah, you’ll get in there, just like mine,” Sophie agreed with me. “Oh, tell us the tale, girl!” Mariette cheered. Chuckling, “I started assisting and being behind the spotlight, but when Rob found me, he helped me to be on top, It has only been three years, but he made my dream come true in the fashion business,” Sophie proudly declared. Her statement made me smile. She was lucky to find someone who had helped her reach her dreams. “Lucky woman!” Mariette happily said, “Well, my goal is to get pregnant soon,” she said, giggling, making us laugh too, “It takes two to tango, lady!” Kirsten said, chuckling. “Bring him home early and do the deed, perhaps,” she teasingly added, making me giggle with them once more. The ladies seemed genuine and not as fake as the women in their social classes that I encountered before. They continued sharing their stories of success while I listened and spoke from time to time, I wish I could say my goal and wish was to have my sister's health back. To give her a long life so I won’t ever feel alone. “I’m happy to know you guys!” I truthfully said, I somehow forgot the problems entangling my life. We talked more about our lives and jobs. I was so happy to find a company in them. They were so friendly and honest, with no hint of any mendacious personality. We were so happy chatting and talking when a waiter disturbed us. He placed twelve shots of tequila on our table. We all looked baffled at the server. “The birthday man asked this for everyone,” he explained. Then we all looked at the guys who were already holding their shares. I looked at Theon, who was smirking at me. He then gawked at the glasses then winked at me. “To the birthday boy! Let’s all partake in these three shots and toasts for the 25th birthday of our man. Happy birthday and may you continue to shine for many more years to come, our Theon Rafael Carter! Everyone, Cheers!!” Chester held, making us raise our shot glasses and gulped the rest after another. My face flinched as I felt the continued burning feeling in my throat. God! I couldn’t take it anymore. I had more than enough, In between our chit-chats, I’ve had been drinking cocktail drinks, so it counted to the alcohol level in my body. After downing another glass of cold water, I felt someone grab my shoulders. I looked up, and it was Theon winking at me. “Mia, let’s dance downstairs,” Theo said in his husky manly voice. My mind had started to cloud and taken over by the alcohol I had just consumed. I nodded as I felt Theon’s warm hand tugging my cold arms gently. I stood up, but my legs wiggled. I grabbed his shirt again and barely lifted my head since I was wearing my four-inch heels. I met his enthralling light orbs, together with his long eyelashes and thick dark brows. Theon nudged his head to my ear again and whispered, “Dance with me…” he whispered once more, feeling his warm breath travel on the crook of my neck. I pressed and clutched his hard chest to let him know I agreed with him. Theon then held my waist and slowly brushed it up and down, making me more tensed and rigid. He broke our close contact and again encased his hand with me, pulling me away from the ladies. “Excuse us, ladies,” he politely said, turning his head before winking at me. I looked at the girls, and they all put their thumbs up to me. Mariette mouthed me, ‘good luck,’ as I left them. Theon and I went downstairs to join the crowd. The club’s air centralized conditioners were in full blast, yet my body started to get warm and sweaty. It sounded gross, but luckily I always took care of myself. We both went to the center of the dance floor. The music was pumping beat-up sound. I anchored my arms at Theon’s shoulders as he grabbed my waists. My head was angled to meet his eyes as he looked down at me. We both ground our bodies to the music as I felt his one hand going down from my waist to my butt. Softly caressing and squishing it, I couldn’t help but gasp. A knot on my stomach formed, making me exhale an unsolicited moan. The alcoholic shots already clouded my sanity. Though Theon’s warm touch sent butterflies in my stomach, I didn’t care about it. I just sold my soul and body to this gorgeous man, and I should make the most of it since everything will be over tomorrow. Theon pulled me closer to him, and I was almost embracing him. He then brought his lips on the side of my face and whispered, “Let’s get out of here…what you say…” in a husky, sexy voice. The spirits of alcohol already consumed my whole entity. I was burning inside out. I leaned my body back and looked at Theon. His eyes sparkled from the strobe light that was gracefully illuminating the whole dance floor. I just nodded, and without a word, he took my hand, and we both strode out outside the club. A black limousine stopped in front of us, then the driver, who I recognized as Greg, went out and opened the door. Theon tugged me, but I didn’t move. A hesitation built inside me. He then looked at me. Perplexed emotion crept on his face. Once I got in that car, my night would be fate sealed. My muddled sanity reminded me. I burrowed my eyes into his, “Shall we?” Theon asked. His eyes were burning to mine with l*st. For the nth time around, I just nodded.
