News from Sebastian kept coming.
After I pulled my investment, his company teetered on the edge of collapse. Upstream and downstream partners rushed to cut ties and protect themselves. In a panic, Sebastian sold Rosehaven Estate. He had bought it for a billion dollars and sold it off for five hundred million.
The only thing he refused to let go of was the mansion where we had lived together for five years.
"Ms. Harrington, Mr. Shaw still refuses to agree to the divorce," Grace Miller, my attorney, said. "He keeps saying he wants to see you in person and speak with you himself."
I was not surprised.
"Whether he agrees or not, this divorce is happening," I said. "But if he cooperates, he may still get to keep the house. Tell him that and let him choose."
