Fiona just had one thing left to do, and that was to secure a job. Before she graduated from college, she had already applied as a marketer for Seb Cars, and after she graduated they had called up for an interview.
Now she stood in front of the large building feeling rather small in comparison to it and her megalaphobia kicked in almost instantly. She shook her head, closing her eyes she took in deep breaths trying to calm herself down.
You got this Fiona, you can do this, she thought. She walked up to the revolving doors and entered inside. The inside was a bit chilly that she used her hands to cover herself up.
She walked up to the front counter and greeted the receptionist and told her that she had an interview. And the receptionist told her to take the elevator to the third floor.
She entered the elevator and it ascended to the third floor, whereby it stopped and the doors open up and she was greeted to a passage way teetering with people. Which wasn't a surprise cause Seb Cars was a big company that treats and pays it's staffs well.
She walked amongst the midst of people, some of them had their nose in a book, some were standing, whilst some were seated on the chair that was provided for them.
Fiona decided to take a seat next to a woman that looked older than her with a couple of years. As she sat down she began reciting in her head the possible questions that would be asked and the answers that she would give to them as well.
She brought out a book from her bag, it was a small book that had a man in the front cover wearing a suit and tie with his hands on his chin as if thinking about something.
The title of the book says: Interviews: What To Say And What Not To Say.
She opened the first page and began reading through the words written on them, when the woman next to her nudged her, which prompted Fiona to look to her side.
"Is it your first time at an interview?" Fiona looked at her blinking her eyes multiple times before she finally nodded her head.
"But, how could you tell?" Fiona asked.
The woman shrugged, "Well, first of all being the book that you are reading it's a dead giveaway that you are new."
Fiona looked at the cover of the book, and let out a wary smile, while scratching the back of her head.
"But that isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just that if you have been in the workforce long enough you can tell when someone is new and when someone isn't."
A woman came out of a door, and called out: "Sophia Clarkson?"
"That's me," the woman said putting her hands on her knees, using it to prop herself, Fiona could hear a slight crack on her knees which made her almost worry.
She walked with a slight limp on her leg, as she wobbled towards the door, the woman at the door looked her with the same worried expression that Fiona had.
She should be resting not working, but anyways, maybe she had her reason for working so who was she to interject.
The door was locked and then everyone went back to what they were doing. And so one by one everybody was called into the room, and then it was Fiona turn, she felt her nerves increase. And whenever she felt nervous her palm becomes sweaty and her mouth become dry. She wiped her sweaty palms on her skirt.
Luckily the interview went well, aside from the slight mistake she made when she was talking, everything else was fine.
She could feel it deep within her that she would get this job, she spoke properly in the interview, nothing could possibly go wrong.

Felix felt this huge burden on his shoulders, he couldn't even eat his food properly and his beautiful wife, Natasha, seemed to notice.
"Honey, what seemed to be the problem? You haven't touched your food since I brought it to you?"
Felix looked at his wife, his oh so beautiful and lovely wife. He then looked on ahead, thinking of whether he should tell her about the fact that he just sold his daughter off to a man he lost a bet to, or whether he should keep this burden to himself.
As he was pondering on what to do, his phone rang which broke him out of his reverie. He picked it off the center table and looked at the person calling, his face suddenly became drained of any color, and he felt his stomach twist into knots.
He picked up the call and he heard the voice of Sebastian through his phone speakers.
"Hello there, Felix. I believe that you are preparing your beautiful daughter for me now aren't you?"
"Yes," he said it in a not so confident way, almost like as if he doesn't want to say it, but he has no other option.
"Great, remember it's by this Friday. I would be expecting her at my doorstep, or better still I would come get her myself."
Before Felix could say anything, the call was cut, not like he was planning on even saying anything else anyways.
"Felix, who was that?" Natasha asked, and Felix looked at her wearily, then said, "it's nothing."
"Honey, you can't tell me that it's nothing. Your expression wasn't the usual confident expression, does that call have to do with what's bothering you?"
Felix couldn't hide it anymore, being with a woman like Natasha just simply mean that there is no secret that he can keep, cause she would always find out at the end of the day.
He told her everything, the dumb bet that he made and how he lost to Sebastian. As his wife was listening to what he was saying she had on a neutral expression, after he was done speaking, she asked. "Have you by any chance told Fiona?"
Felix shook his head, that he didn't want to tell her.
"Why won't you tell her, it's better if you tell her and get this whole thing over with. We need to devise a plan that keep our daughter away from him. My God what exactly were you thinking?" Fiona placed her hands on her face.
Felix just sat down like a child being scolded by his mother for doing something bad. Well the situation wasn't all the different if he was being honest.
"The moment Fiona comes back from her job interview, you are going to tell her what is going on, do you understand Felix."
Felix nodded his head, and Natasha stood up. "Good, I am going to go and get the kids from school. See you later sweetie," she left without even doing as much as placing a small peck on his cheek
Which just made him realize that she was angry at him.
