"It's time, Maria. You've got this," I said to myself as the cab stopped.
I was tense and nervous concerning the new position that I had just taken in Connor's company. It was a great leap that I still needed to wrap my head around.
Although it had been my dream, I still found it a bit challenging to step into my role that morning.
After thanking and paying off the cab driver, I made my way towards the entrance. I noticed Connor's car was already parked right there and I confirmed he indeed left for work without informing me.
