"Connor emerged from the house looking calm and relaxed, showing no signs of concern. When I inquired about your whereabouts, he casually mentioned that you had been kidnapped. However, he made no immediate effort to search for you, instead discussing his plans to do so later, despite it already being a day since you were kidnapped."
"All Connor was thinking about was going out to look for you? After hours of you missing? Would a real husband do that?" Alex's words cut deep, leaving a scar on my heart that I wasn't sure would ever heal.
"Maybe he wasn't looking because he had already involved the police. You don't expect him to physically chase after these men on his own, right? If the police are involved, then he had every right to remain at the suite," I said.
