CONNOR'S POV I rushed toward the pool, my mind racing with worry. The overturned bench and the blood were clear signs that something was terribly wrong. My heart raced as I skipped the poolside and rushed inside quickly. "Maria!" I called out as I made my way through the stairs. I was in a rush to know if she was inside or not. I had to find her. Rushing into the room, I kicked it open, and there was no one in there. I could hear the sound of my heartbeat in my ear at this time. "Maria!" I shouted into the air again, and there was no response. I was confused about what to do, and then I decided that I should rush back to the poolside again to have a closer look.
