MARIA’S POV
I screamed in fear, seeing that Connor was trying to tackle two men who were masked and had guns. The door to the mansion was wide open and then some things were scattered across the room.
The couch was turned upside down and then, the window had been shattered. I stared at Connor’s face, and then I saw that his forehead was bleeding like he had been hit on the head. The masked men were overpowering him. They had guns, but they had not shot at him yet, as Connor was strong enough to struggle with them to keep the gun away.
“Maria!!” Connor screamed, seeing me stand frozen in fear with my mouth wide open, my entire body trembling in fear. My heart was pounding so fast, and I was paralyzed.
