Chapter 2- Princess Adremora Bloodsworth

1389 Words
POV Adremora Bloodsworth "Adremora, I need to see you in the council office." I heard my father's voice say. "I'm on my way father." I replied. I quickly headed off towards the council. I walk down the long dark hallways of the castle, paying attention to every detail on the way. The ceiling is a high gothic looking arch. The walls are dark with intricate gold floral detailing and large picture frames of the royal family before us, as well as candles lighting the hall. The floors were made of hard wood. At the end of the hall was a large oak door. Once I saw it, I walked towards it and knocked on the door. "Come in, my dear princess." When I heard my father's voice, I twisted the knob and opened the door. I looked inside the office and quickly closed the door behind me. I looked around seeing the Royal Council sitting before me. My father, King Iglesias Bloodsworth of the Scarlet Vein Clan, sat in the middle of the table facing me. To the left of him sat my mother, Queen Beatrice Bloodsworth. Next to her was my great aunt Gertrude and my great uncle Bernard. To the right side of my father sat my uncle Virgilio, my aunt Patricia, and my brother Zacharia. My mother has always been a breathtakingly beautiful woman with long, thick, wavy brunette hair, she's about 5'8 with a petite body, intense deep gold eyes, and a rather good sense of fashion for someone who has been alive for about 5000 years. My father on the other hand, has jet black hair, a lean but muscular physique, he's 6'0, dark red eyes with specs of gold, and his wardrobe consist primarily of suits, black leather shoes, and his infamous big silver ring that has our family crest engraved on one side while the otherside had the letter "B" in cursive. He is about 5500 years old. My brother and I are pretty much identical twins. We both have deep red eyes like our father, and thick brunette hair like our mother. I have long wavy hair that reaches almost to the base of my spine, while my brother has short neat hair with slight waves to give it texture and bangs that swoop to the left side. My brother is about 5'10 while I'm 5'6. We are both 2500 years old. Great Aunt Gertrude has long black pin straight hair that she always twists into a tightly braided bun, deep gold eyes with specs of red swirling in them, and a short frail figure. That woman is far from frail she may not look like it but, she has been known to be fierce, fiery, merciless, and brutal to those who come across her path. Great Uncle Bernard has dirty blonde hair, gold eyes, and a tall lean physique. He's a very quiet private person. Uncle Virgilio is my father's twin brother they look exactly a like they have the same color hair and the same physique except for the eyes. My uncle's eyes are a much brighter shade of red. Aunt Patricia has short blonde hair, violet eyes, 5'4 and is very slim. "Please take a seat, Princess. We have much to discuss." My mother said rather impatiently. "Yes, mother." I responded in a cool tone. I sat down in a large wooden chair that had intricate designs carved into it. I was sitting on the other side of the table across from them. I looked to my father waiting for him to tell me why he asked me here. "As you know, there has been a lot of up roar lately within the vampire clan communities, due to their being more disappearances in the area. There have been rumors about rogue werewolves attacking the clans. Our numbers have been severely decreasing and we need to figure out what we're going to do. We can't risk another war with the werewolves again. So, I've called you all here to discuss the best way to deal with the rogues." My father explained. "We should send someone to round up all those mutts." Uncle Bernard muttered with disgust. "We can't do that without starting a war, Bernard. As much as I want to, it doesn't seem like it would be worth decreasing our numbers even more than they already are." My father said. "Or we could stake out the area and have the witch make a potion to mask our scent." My brother chimed in. "That would give us an idea as to what they want. Good idea son. Are there any other ideas?" My father asked. Everyone sat quietly for a moment, giving the council the chance to speak if they chose to do so. No one else spoke up. "With that being said, Zacharia will lead a small troop of warriors into the woods to find out what they want from us. I will talk to the witch to see what she can do for us." My father said in a calm, cool tone. "Also, I have an announcement. The royal crowning ceremony for Princess Adremora and Prince Zacharia will be at the end of December." My mother exclaimed excitedly. That caught my attention. Four months. The crowning ceremony is in four months. How is it so soon? Why is it so soon? So many thoughts were running through my head. I then looked over to my brother who had the same shocked expression on his face. "It's in four months? Why is it so soon?" I questioned. "Well, since you and your brother are now 2500 years old, we thought it would be a good time for the two of you to start taking over." My mother quickly explained. Before I could say anything, Zac spoke up. "I agree, mother. It's time for the Bloodsworth twins to rise as the new reigning royals. It's time for us to start taking on more responsibilities." I sat there in shock. We all knew it was going to happen eventually, I just wasn't expecting it to be so soon. "Yes, mother" is the only thing I could get myself to say. My mother had so much pride written on her face that I just couldn't take that away from her. "You are all, now, free to go." My father said. Everyone started getting up to leave the room. I quickly stood up and left the room. I walked back down the long hallway and to my room. Once I reached my room, I opened the door and went in. I have a large bedroom with a 4 post king size bed with thin black curtains around it, a soft white rug, a big walk-in closet, a matching black couch and chairs set, a large bookshelf, and my own personal bathroom. The walls were grey with big white windows that had navy blue black out curtains. I went over and sat on my couch. I can't believe the crowning ceremony is in 4 months. That means all the clan officials are going to be here and even worse my rival, Santana Marokovski, is going to be here. I can't stand her. She's from the Midnight Fang Clan. The rivalry started when her family was visiting us for the first time since the war between vampires and werewolves. While our parents were talking, she decided she was going to destroy the last thing I had from my grandmother. It was a pure silver necklace with a big ruby pendant in the center. After she destroyed it, she completely denied it even tho I saw her break the chain and smash the ruby pendant with her foot. (We are super fast, super strong, and our hearing is severely enhanced due to being vampires). Ever since then I can't even stand to be within 20 feet of her. Anytime we're near one another, she's constantly insulting me. After a while of sitting on the couch thinking about everything, I finally decided to get up. I need to get out of here for a bit to clear my head. I put on my black combat boots and army green jacket. I went over to the window and slid it up enough to slip out. Once I reached the ground I took off running to the woods.
