His loving hands gently gripped her hands as he lifted her up. "Come in." In the dining room, he invited her to join him. Then he gently let go her hand and said, "Come with me for a supper." Ava wasn't hungry. She couldn't get anything out of her mouth. She had no idea what he was doing. This guy behaved like a child at times, yet a demon at others. What he was thinking, planning, and doing next was absolutely beyond her conception. "Why are you staring at me like that?" Jeorge Milton said, raising his eyebrows and pouring black coffee into a cup. She lowered her gaze to the table. "You seem to be afraid of me today?" he asked, his mouth curled up as he looked straight at her. Why had she never dared to speak to him before? "Isn't this what you want?"
