CHAPTER 8

LUCAS'S POV-

i stopped car outside the entrance of the hospital gate and called Olivia's name in a very soft voice. but she did not gave any reply. i called out her name twice but she will still and spaced out. so i grabbed her arm and tried to shook her and in an instant she started screaming and said "please leave me,please leave me. i will keep quiet." and started trembling.

i was taken back by her sudden outburst. i do not know what to do but i should try to calm her down and said her "nothing is gonna happen to you Olivia. you are safe. nobody is going to harm you right. so just calm down baby. you are alright." and she hugged me really tight like her life depends upon me. i loved the feeling of her near my body and i hugged her back.

"thank you so much for protecting my dignity today. what would have happened if you didn't gained you consciousness back. he would have r***d me. all of them were looking at me with so much lust and i felt naked in their eyes. i will always be thankful to you for this Lucas." she said and i just remained quiet for a second then i held her face with both of my palms and looked straight into her now red eyes "nobody can touch you Olivia. you are mine." and kissed her forehead.

"let's go to the doctor and get our wounds treated."i said.

she nodded and i opened the door for her and i held her hand and we both went inside the hospital. i never had appointment with the doctor as she is my old friend. 

"hello Susan, i am at your hospital and it's an emergency.where are you?" i asked her on the call.

"i am in my office Lucas and you know the way to it. so just come to my office directly." she said and i hung up the cal and we both directly went towards her office.

i entered without knocking her door and she gave me a very worried look and said "oh my god Lucas! what happened your head is bleeding. come and sit over this stretcher and i have to treat your wounds right now."

i said" i am fine Susan, first treat my friend Olivia and check if she got any serious wound and do necessary checkups if you feel even a little bit need of it."

" hello Olivia,i am so sorry. i am Susan and i am Lucas's childhood friend as well as his family doctor. come let's have your body checkup." said Susan and gave Olivia a very warm smile which Olivia returned too and followed her.she was quiet all the time. they both went to the private area where Susan can have her checkup and i waited on the chair patiently.

OLIVIA'S POV-

i am sitting inside Susan's check up room and she seems to be a nice lady. earlier in the car, i was recalling whatever happened today and i was feeling ashamed of myself for letting my fear overpower me. i was not raised to be a weak person and i worked hard on myself to be a strong women if not mentally but physically. after years of training and this much confidence, i just wasted everything because of my fears.

whatever happened in my childhood is not a part of my life anymore and i am trying to overcome it anyhow and i am trying to expand my boundaries. i need to get out of my niche but those images and touch still haunt me and i felt a hand on my arm and i started trembling and shouting but lucas helped me to calm down. i hugged him so tight and thanked him for saving my pride and dignity. he hugged me like i will break into pieces any moment but i didn't mind it and i was loving him so close to me. i needed someone to be there for me and he cupped my face and said that i am his and no one can ever harm me. his words were really soothing to my heart and mind but he was not supposed to say this to his personal assistant. we are just professionally bounded to each other and nothing else.

i wanted to clear it with him but i decided to talk about it to him later. right now i just want some peace which i got from Lucas. we both went inside the hospital for treatment of our wounds and lucas brought me to his family doctor. i am usually a really chirpy person but after today's incident i was quiet whole the time when lucas was talking to his friend Susan. i must say she is really pretty women. 

Susan asked " alright Olivia, show me where you got bruised?" and i removed my blazer that Lucas gave me. that wound was hurting me a lot but i tried not to speak about it and she said "oh my god Olivia, your wound is so deep. the cut can cause infections. what caused this?"

i said " i was attacked with a sharp piece of glass."

Susan said "can you tell me what exactly happened? i will give you medications accordingly." and i told her everything including about Lucas. she was shocked and was sympathetic towards me but more than that i could see admiration in her eyes.

"girls like you are the only reason that women beat men in every field Olivia. you fought with a bunch of men all alone so bravely and protected your dignity as well as the lives of other people present there. you should be proud of yourself. you must be an example to many girls out there. you are not only beautiful but a brave and courageous girl. i respect you." and i smiled at her and she treated my wounds and cuts i got while fighting. she gave me medicines and then she called Lucas and i waited outside till he was getting treated. and i checked the time and it already 6:30 pm and i checked my phone to see any calls and there were 7 missed calls from my mother and 12 missed calls from my dad. they get hell worried if i get late without letting them know and i instantly called her and she picked up my phone after 3 rings and yelled "where the hell are you Olivia?  don't you have any responsibility of letting your parents know about your whereabouts young lady? speak up."

"i am sorry mom i am at the hospital and i will be back in an hour. don't worry  i am alright.'' i told her and her voice softened and she asked with concern and panic "hospital? what happened to you bebe (baby in french). are you hurt? tell me which hospital. we are coming there sweetheart."

"no mom you don't need to cut its just a minor bruise and i am alright. i will see you at home. je t'aime (love you). " and i cut the call.

Lucas came out of the checkup room and we both left the place after thanking Susan. we both are now in Lucas's car and he said "take off for 2 days Olivia. you need rest and the cut needs to heal with proper sanitation and you should not go outside your house because of the dust and other particles that can create infection."

"i am fine Lucas. i can manage it. besides it will be hard for you to maintain everything without your personal assistant."

"off course it would be but even i am not going to office for 2 days because i was told to take rest and not to explode my mind with work so it's your off too and no negotiations." he said and gave me a bright smile.
